Family Practice at Southern Trace Growing, expanding, enhancing services Since opening her medical practice about three years ago, nurse practitioner Michelle Springstead has adopted a mantra that she considers ideal for the patients who visit her Family Practice at Southern Trace in the Southern Trace Plaza Shopping Center. “We integrate medicine, wellness and beauty,” Springstead said. That philosophy also explains why Springstead is relocating to 3465 Wedgewood Lane just a few doors down from her existing office and nearly doubling the size of the medical practice. At the heart of this clinic, Springstead practices family medicine under the direction of Mount Dora physician Robert Lynch. But patient demand for Springstead’s medical spa practice has grown so much that she and licensed esthetician Jennifer Teeter needed additional space. So Springstead decided to invest in an expansion at her existing office to maintain the same conveniences and golf-cart accessibility she now offers patients from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The medical spa will offer a complete line of skin-care services including facials, comprehensive waxing and minimally invasive facial medical aesthetics. Other services are planned, too, including plastic surgery consultations. And Springstead is accepting new patients at 391-1400. “I visualize our same hometown family practice, but we’re bringing in another perspective, the medical spa services,” she said.
