Clubs Enhance Camp Villages
The popular program from the Recreation Department has provided summer fun for Villagers and their grandchildren for more than 10 years. Clubs have shared their time and talents with the program to offer a wider range of sports and activities. Their level of knowledge and experience gives the kids a chance to learn from real experts.
Wood Canes Help Wounded Vets
Helping injured veterans is the goal behind the national Eagle Cane Project which provides hand-made wood canes for veterans who need ambulatory assistance. The Villages Woodshop has been actively assisting this group hand-crafting personalized canes to honor those who have sacrificed in service.
Villagers Take to the Lake
Lake Miona was the recent location of a Kayaking demo hosted by the Recreation Department. These monthly events are designed at giving residents a chance to test the waters with kayaking to see if they would like to pursue the sport and explore Florida’s scenic waterways.
Villages Smiling Entertainer
Tony DeMascio lights up Katie Belle’s with his bright songs and smiles. For more than 10 years this entertainer has been providing music that makes Villagers want to keep dancing.
