K is for Kite Flying
Life's a breeze when you're flying a kite. Members of the Kite
Flying Cloud Chasers soak in the sunshine and relax as they
watch their colorful kites soar. They also train beginners,
help each other with maintenance, and share tips on flying
single-, two- and four-line kites. Bring a kite or borrow one
from the group. "It's just nice being outside with people,"

L is for Lions
Hundreds of Lions are on the prowl for supplies. No,
not those kinds of lions. Lions Club International, the
world's largest service organization. Two local branches
donate eyeglasses and hearing aids, conduct diabetes
screenings, help the youth, respond to disasters and
more. The Orange Blossom Gardens chapter started in
1987 and has about 75 members; call Doris Turlo, 7500837. For the Lake Sumter chapter, started in 2007,

M is for Mustangs
Car enthusiasts cover The Villages. The Mustang Car
Club is just one glimpse into that world. Since 2007,
the group has grown to more than 300 members and
150 Ford Mustangs. Mustang owners rev their engines
and show off their paint jobs and features at car shows,
as well as plenty of other social outings and back-road
cruises around Central Florida. They even take drives
around Daytona International Speedway. Call Joe

N is for Nutrition
Since 2007, the Nutrition and Health Information
Club has hosted speakers who address specific topics on
food, supplements, medical devices and more to about
75 residents. It's one of six discussion groups run by
Richard Matwyshen. The 2012 Club covers ancient
civilizations. A New Vibrant You focuses on health
prevention. The Holistic Health Club addresses the
whole body. Seeking Spirituality Club discusses love
and forgiveness. Thrive Club follows seeks solutions
