Country music sensation Scotty
McCreery, 22, charmed 1,000 fans with
his deep voice and high energy. "It's
always a fun night playing for a sold-out
crowd," he told the audience. "Y'all have
fun in The Villages." The 2011 American
Idol winner also golfed at Nancy Lopez
Legacy Country Club earlier that day.

Last month in The Villages
Magazine, you learned the story of
Villager Dot Bannar.
The McCreery-crazy fan had
approached staff at The Sharon
about her dream of seeing him
perform in The Villages. On Sept.
16, her dream came true.
With a racing heart and
surrounded by close friends, she
lined up for his meet-and-greet
backstage at The Sharon.
Bannar giddily hugged him
and handed him the magazine
article. The staff and fans in line
applauded, knowing this was a
Joyce & patty Mcgill
special moment for her.
"Good to see you," he said.
"I do wish all your dreams
come true," she told him.
Moments after meeting him
and nearly breathless, she said,
"He looks fabulous. I have had the
most magnificent time."
But there was much more
to come. Bannar took a frontrow seat for the concert. During
his final number, "Feelin' It,"
McCreery knelt down and took her
hand as he sang the lyric, "With
your hand in my hand."
"My heart melted as he
reached out to me," Bannar said.
"This is not something he does
regularly in his show and it meant
the world to me."
Afterward, she visited McCreery's tour bus, where he signed
the guitar that she and her friends
bought together in the lobby.
Bannar, who visits McCreery's
fan sites daily, looks forward to
attending more of his concerts.
"Of course, my dream does
not end here," she said. "Now I'm
dreaming that Scotty will come to
The Villages again in the future!"
