Sunsets make her swoon. Gail and Larry Curcuru's lakeside
lanai is a place to kick back and watch the sky become a pastel palette
of colors. "I'm obsessed with sunrises and sunsets," Gail said, scrolling through photos on her phone - a peach sky, a purple sky, a red sky
spun with clouds.
The Atlanta natives discovered The Villages after a friend raved about
the area. "We made the trip on our way back from Disney and we fell in
love," Larry said. "Gail would have moved the next day, but I wanted to
wait until retirement."
During the next seven years, the couple continued to visit The Villages.
"Thirty-one trips, searching for just the right house," Larry said.
As for their waterfront bungalow, "The lot is what sold us," Gail said.
"You can do what you want to the inside of the house, but you can't
change the view."
