Christmas Light Tour in The Villages The holiday season in The Villages is no small event. With residents decorating their homes and streets, as well as Christmas decorations at recreation centers and town squares around the area, there are plenty of opportunities to take kids of any age out on a tour of Christmas lights. Each town square - the Brownwood Paddock Square, Lake Sumter Landing Market Square and the Spanish Springs Town Square - has a specially themed tree with lights and other decorations that are well worth the trip to visit. Beyond the town squares, many residents decorate their homes and/or streets with lights and other decorations. Some even go all out with new technology, synchronizing their lights to music for an even more intense display. Every year, The Villages Daily Sun newspaper publishes a map with local hotspots where anyone can drive by to check out the lights. Keep an eye out for the special insert in the newspaper and take a trip with the grandkids to see the lights. 6 DECEMBER 2021
