them – minus Michael Phelps – a few questions that would
help you get to know them better. We also asked them to give
us five tips for swimming their gold medal events that you
can use to swim faster. Here’s what they had to say.

t a recent photo shoot, nathan adrian had to lie in chin-high water mixed
with acrylic paint for several hours to get the perfect photo for an ad
campaign. it looked like he was in milk, which he said would have tasted better
and been less chalky. That’s the kind of sport adrian is, and it belies his ultramedal last summer in London in the 100m freestyle.
