UTAH OLYMPIC PARK
The Utah Olympic Park, located outside of Park City, is an official US Olympic Committee training site. The park features four Nordic ski jumps, summer and winter freestyle aerial jumps, and a bobsled/ luge/skeleton track. Visitors can take a 70 mph ride on a bobsled, participate in a sports camp, or watch aspiring Olympians train. The facility features two museums: the Alf Engen Ski Museum, and George Eccles Museum. MORE WINTER FUN
SKI & SNOWBOARD TERRAIN PARKS
Many of Utah’s ski resorts offer special terrain parks that include state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems, jumps and rails, including Beaver Mountain, Brian Head, Brighton, Canyons, Park City Mountain Resort, Powder Mountain, Snowbasin and Snowbird.

CROSS-COUNTRY/NORDIC SKIING
Utah’s abundant snowfall and breathtaking scenery combine to provide excellent cross-country skiing opportunities all over the state. Whether you prefer groomed trails, or a backcountry experience on one of hundreds of roads or trails in the state’s National Forests or on BLM lands, Utah is sure to deliver a satisfying experience.

UTAH OLYMPIC OVAL
The Utah Olympic Oval, located in Kearns, is where 8 out of 10 world speed skating records were shattered during the games. Today, anyone can skate the 400-meter track, take a class in figure skating or curling, or watch top athletes train to beat their personal bests. SNOWMOBILING

SOLDIER HOLLOW
Soldier Hollow, in stunning Heber Valley, was the Nordic skiing venue for the games. In addition to the cross- country ski trails, it has the longest tubing lanes in the country. TUBING & SLEDDING
Tubing can be another fun and exciting way to enjoy the snow. There are a number of tubing parks at select Utah ski resorts. Gorgoza Park, near Park City, has seven lift served tubing lanes, and a special area for children eight and under. Soldier Hollow at Wasatch Mountain State Park offers Utah’s longest tubing lanes. Sleigh Rides can be a delightful way to spend a relaxing afternoon with family and friends.

PEAKS ICE AREA
A venue for the Olympics, the Peaks Ice Arena in Provo, has two Olympic-size ice sheets providing year-round activities for all ages such as ice skating, ice hockey, broom ball, floor hockey, figure skating and indoor soccer, 100 North Seven Peaks Blvd., Provo, UT 84606, (801) 852-7465.

OGDEN ICE SHEET
Ogden’s Ice Sheet, site of Olympic Curling events, is a year-round community ice recreation center. Activities include hockey, skating lessons, and curling. Call (801) 399-8750 for more information.
