Fusing French cooking and local, California-fresh ingredients,
Panolivo Family Bistro offers up breakfast, lunch and dinner
bolstered by gluten-free options and an on-site bakery.

T

here are plenty of sterile, snooty dining
establishments in California serving up microscopic
portions at confounding prices. Thankfully, Panolivo
Family Bistro is not one of them.
In 2003, husband and wife duo Beatrice and Didier Cop
established the eatery as a place where warmth, comfort and
wholesomeness matter.
Chef Beatrice's traditional French Family cooking style,
combined with locally-grown ingredients, offer up a fresh
culinary experience that is both high-end and approachable.
Located at 1344 Park Street adjoining Jaffa Restaurant, the
dining room offers up breakfast, lunch and dinner.
"We offer two menus - the French California menu, which is
Panolivo, and the Jaffa Café menu, which is Mediterranean," said
Didier Cop. "People can come in, and they can order from both
menus, but are taken care of by the same server. We also have a
patio, which is really nice, especially on beautiful summer days,
or for those pet lovers out there."
The double menu is bolstered by a hand-crafted array of
desserts made fresh, thanks to an on-site bakery.
"We have two bakers that come in at 3 a.m.," said Cop.
"Needless to say, the choice of desserts and pastries that we offer
is unheard of around Paso Robles."
Those with Celiac Disease or gluten allergies will rejoice at
the sight of the two-page gluten-free menu, which extends from
eggs benedict to pasta and burgers. Kid's options and a vast wine
list round out the impressive - and incredibly varied -offerings.
"If there is one thing people will walk away with, it's that they
received high quality food at reasonable prices," said Cop.
