12 Mile Stables, and roam 27 miles of primitive riding trail with each turn promising
more expansive views of Colorado's natural
terrain.
GOLDEN: Perched at the top of Lookout
Mountain lies one of the most notorious
characters of the Wild West, Buffalo Bill
(otherwise known as William F. Cody). Visit
The Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave and see
all sorts of artifacts from his lifetime and the
American West. If you time it right, attend
Golden's Buffalo Bill Days in July. Colorado
Railroad Museum also is a good stop to
understand the development of the West,
and downtown Golden has long been known
for its huge " Howdy Folks! Come to Golden
Where the West Lives " sign that arches over
one of the main streets with a painted cowboy
mural nearby. Stop by one of the local BBQ
restaurants for some grub.
