FREE FOR ALL

Squads are more important than ever in Battlefield V. Now the game
will automatically put you into one when you join a map, rather
than forcing you to manually join each time. There are new benefits
to squadding up, too. Now anyone-not just medics-can revive a
fellow squad member, though it'll take a bit longer than the medic's
standard revive. And squad leaders who earn enough points through
teamwork will be able to call in powerful "reinforcements"-a V1
rocket, for example.

In a first for the series, Battlefield V is ditching paid expansions. That's
right, the Premium Pass is gone. That's not to say the game won't be
getting more multiplayer maps and weapons after launch, however.
All that DLC will just be free to everyone as part of an ongoing
update schedule DICE is calling Tides of War. Each content drop will
focus on a different part of World War II, with the first chapter, arriving a few weeks after launch, centered on the fall of Europe and the
rise of Nazi Germany.

KNOCK IT ALL DOWN
Battlefield's environmental destruction is already so impressive it was
hard to imagine it had much room to improve on current-generation
hardware, but DICE isn't resting on its laurels. For one, destruction in
Battlefield V is no longer static. Drive a tank through a building, and
the hole you leave will crumble further over time based on gravity.
Different building materials will react differently, too. You'll even notice a difference between explosions that go off inside a building and
those that detonate on the outside.
