DAYS OF GLORY

In a real "yin and yang" move, Battlefield V sports a new fortification system allowing you to repair all that damage that you just
caused. No longer will you level all the buildings on a map and end
up stuck in a bloody war of attrition with no cover. You won't be
limited to fixing up existing buildings, either. You can also throw
down a line of sandbags and build up stationary weapons. While
everyone will have access to these fortification abilities, Engineers
get the advantage of building faster than other classes.

We expected Battlefield V to introduce a big new game mode,
but given that this is 2018, we were certain it would be another
copycat take on battle royale. We were wrong. Instead, the flagship
addition is called Grand Operations, a vastly expanded version of
the Operations from Battlefield 1. Matches will take place over four
in-game days, spanning multiple maps with varied objectives. Your
success or failure in each stage will impact the next, and cutscenes
and voice-overs will lend a bit of narrative context.

BAND OF BROTHERS AND SISTERS
Forget boring old government issue. DICE wants your soldiers in
Battlefield V to be an expression of you, so now you can fully customize their equipment, looks and gender. You'll be able to give
vehicles and weapons the personal touch as well. Once you've
kitted out everything and everyone, you'll be able to save it all to a
lineup called The Company. Like in past games, you'll call up different loadouts for different occasions. Now, however, those loadouts
will have a distinct person attached to them.
