With the Switch, Nintendo has created two systems in one: a
self-contained handheld that can also be played as a home
console. On its own, the Switch offers even more flexibility,
as the Joy-Con controllers can be disconnected and used
as individual controllers, together with the screen, for local
multiplayer. When not on the go, the Switch's powerful
hardware can play the system's games in high-definition,
from epic single-player adventures to highly competitive
online experiences.

The Nintendo Switch Lite is a hardware revision of the
original Switch that reimagines the system as a dedicated
portable console. Smaller, lighter, and more affordable than
its big brother, the Switch Lite does lose a few features like
HD Rumble and the IR Camera. The built-in controllers aren't
detachable like standard Joy-Con controllers, but you can
pair additional Joy-Cons, sold separately, to gain back some
of these features. Since the Lite can play every Switch title
that supports handheld mode, it's a great alternative for
those who want to do their gaming on the go.

Nintendo's 3DS has been a fantastic evolution of the
company's handheld efforts, boosted by deeper online support
and more options for social connectivity. Now, the New 3DS
revision of the system brings improved 3D, more powerful
hardware, and additional analog control options, while the
2DS plays all 3DS games (minus the glasses-free 3D visuals)
at a lower price point.
