Power Supplies Calex Mfg. Co., Inc. has released the Model 2.15.200, a low noise linear power supply that provides an output of ±15 VDC at 200 mA. The 2.15.200 can be powered by 100, 115, 220, 230 or 240 VAC. The 2.15.200 is characterized by tight regulation, low noise and outstanding stability. The unit is well suited for use as a dual 15-volt rail source. The voltage accuracy of the 2.15.200 is ±0.5 percent. Line and load regulation is ±0.04 percent. Noise and ripple is 1 mV RMS. The input frequency range is 50 Hz to 60 Hz. The 2.15.200 is housed in a 2.5 inch by 3.5 inch by 1.25 inch case, which is fully encapsulated with an epoxy potting compound making the unit ruggedized for harsh environments. The case operating temperature range is -25°C to 50°C. Chassis mounting kits are available for applications requiring screw terminal connections. The 2.15.200 is backed by Calex’s five year warranty. Encapsulated PCB Mount AC/DC Linear Supply UPSs, which are designed to give users the highest level of protection against a wide spectrum of power problems. Well suited for protecting equipment in harsh environments, these units can operate in extreme temperatures from -30ºC to 65ºC. In addition, the SSG UPSs provide continuous, clean, tightly regulated power from the most polluted incoming AC power source. Unlike offline and line-interactive UPS designs, the SSG and SSG-RP online UPSs act as an electronic firewall between incoming dirty power and sensitive micro-processor-based programmable logic controllers (PLCs), computers and automated systems found in industrial environments. 45 to 85 Watt AC/DC Power Supplies for Industrial And Medical Applications Falcon Electric Adds Rugged Extended Runtime Battery Bank Option for Industrial-Grade SSG Series Uninterruptible Power Supplies Power Sources Unlimited, Inc. has released the GRN 45 W to 85 W series. Measuring 2 inches by 3 inches by 1.0 inch, the single output GRN-45S series has a universal active PFC 90 VAC to 264 VAC input, and output voltages of 3.3, 5, 12, 15, 24, 28 and 48 VDC. Units feature EN55011 / 55022 and FCC Class B, high efficiency green power. Options include a chassis, cover, OVP and I/O (isolated outputs for multiple output versions). This power supply series is well suited for both medical and industrial applications. Safety standard approvals include, UL 60601-1-1 3rd Edition and UL 60950-1. Falcon Electric, Inc. has added a ruggedized wide temperature (-30°C to 63°C) extended runtime battery bank option to its SSG and SSG-RP UPS products. The wide-temperature-rated batteries provide long back-up runtimes for protecting connected computers and instrumentation operating in harsh environments during a prolonged power outage. The new battery pack gives users more than 10 times the battery runtime, compared to Falcon’s standard 2U extended battery pack option. The battery bank carries a UL listing when powering Falcon’s UL-listed SSG2.5KRP-1. UL is pending for the remaining models in the SSG and SSG-RP series UPS product line. The SSGB-1S40-5U 40 AH battery bank is a rugged battery option that consists of eight deep cycle, valve regulated leadacid, maintenance-free 40 Ah batteries and two internal one amp chargers. The batteries and chargers are housed in a sleek rack mount enclosure, which takes 5U (8.75 inches) of vertical rack space. The battery banks may be interconnected or daisy chained to provide long battery runtimes and can be added in the field after the SSG units are installed and in service. In order to ensure a reasonable recharge time, Falcon offers an optional charger system housed in a separate 2U rack enclosure. Each rackmount charger module can support up to two 4 AH chargers. The 40 Ah batteries join other options for the industrial-grade SSG UPSs including, an SNMP/HTTP agent board, frequency converter and ICB conformal coating. The SSG and SSG-RP models are true regenerative online High-Density 300 Watt Medical Power Supply with UL60601-1 3rd Edition Approvals Advanced Power Solutions (APS) has released the APS303Mx series of 300 watt U-frame switchers safety approved to the 3rd Edition of UL60601 and single outputs ranging from 5 V to 54 V. The APS303Mx series consists of 10 standard output models designed for the latest medical applications requiring the “Possess Risk Analysis Report” to comply with MOPP applications. Standard features include 600 watt peak load operation for up to five seconds; universal AC input with active power factor correction; dual-fused input protection; low leakage of 120 uA at 264 VAC and a two year warranty. Options include a perforate top-mount cover; top-mount fan cover, end-mount fan cover, industrial operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and Molex or terminal block connections. Products are now in full production with evaluation quantities available from stock and production deliveries of less than eight weeks. Pricing is $85 each for 100 piece quantities. www.BatteryPowerOnline.com May/June 2012 • Battery Power 25 http://www.BatteryPowerOnline.com
