Going into the Future with Battery Chargers
As we look into the future of battery charging, we can
see certain trends that have emerged over the last few
years that we can expect will continue going forward. More
and more companies are transitioning to lighter Li-Ion
packs as the need for lighter weight hand-held products
continues across all industries.
Energy Access has always had a strong focus on Li-Ion
and all of our charging platforms are capable of handling
Li-Ion along with other chemistries such as Nickel and
Sealed Lead Acid. These US built chargers have been at
the forefront of the battery charging business for almost

One of the most
popular battery choices
now for OEM's are the
Li-Ion standard Smart
packs, especially the
204 pack. Energy Access
has off-the-shelf char-
ger options for the 201, 202, 204 & 205 standard packs
with the very popular SBS-2502 simultaneous Smart Charger. The SBS-2502 now allows you to charge two Smart
packs at the same time and has push button recalibration
built in each bay.
One of the challenges of using Li-Ion packs has been the
new FAA shipping regulations which require all Li-Ion batteries be shipped at just 30 percent state of charge. To help
assemblers and OEM's deal with this tricky new regulation,
Energy Access have developed an off the shelf charger that
automatically charges the pack to 30 percent at the push of
a button ensuring companies can always stay compliant of
the FAA regulations.
Energy Access continues to have a product line-up that
includes the cost effective IBullet series wall wart chargers,
desktop chargers, the SMBus compliant Smart charger
series and the new high-powered series coming soon as
well as the ability to produce completely custom chargers
and fully embedded PCBA options across all chemistries,
