Enclosures Rittal Releases New Hygienic Design Enclosures Rittal’s new Hygienic Design (HD) enclosures provide a solution for applications where cleanliness and sanitation are paramount. Crafted of stainless steel, they feature a smooth surface grain, internal hinges, washable gaskets, locks and no crevices to trap debris or contaminates. The HD enclosures are available with screw covers for smaller, integrated applications or hinged doors for larger installations. Both are created from ANSI 304 stainless steel with a 400 grain brushed surface. Wall and door surfaces are angled to prevent objects from adhering to them so water runs off easily. HD enclosures can be mounted with rounded stand-off brackets on the back to improve the flow of water around the unit during wash-down procedures. Additionally, using optional hardware, larger HD enclosures can be mounted on new HD leveling feet and fitted with a wire shelf to assist with cable routing. All mounting threads are concealed to keep them free of debris and contaminants. Optional stainless steel cable glands have smooth, solid exterior surfaces and are self-sealing to enable high-pressure washing. Continuous silicone seal door gaskets can be easily replaced as necessary. The blue gaskets align with a specifically-engineered fitted channel for a tight seal without any adhesive. The distinctive color makes any particulate splashed on the seal standout for easier recognition and removal. purged/pressurized Type X, Class I, Division II purged/pressurized Type Z, Class I, Division II UL698A intrinsically safe (non-incendive). Typical features available on Mokon’s power and process control panels include UL and cUL approval with UL 508A labels, ESA electrical approval and CSA compatibility, NEC, CEC and NFPA 79 electrical standards compatibility, CE Mark and directives compliant. A variety of enclosure capabilities include NEMA 1, 3, 4, 7 and 12 rated enclosures, X and Z purge designs, stainless steel and custom painting, mounting legs, custom sizes and indoor/outdoor remote panel options. Some typical components include fused and unfused disconnects, circuit breakers, power distribution blocks, terminal blocks for customer interfacing, starters, electronic controls, high limit controls, enclosure heaters and coolers, alarms and master/slave configurations. A variety of custom components and communication capabilities are also offered. New Rifle Cases from ECS Case Optima Releases Range of Wall-Mount Enclosures Optima EPS, an Elma Company, is offering new wall-mount enclosures in various sizes and configurations. Optima’s W series come in several configurations including sizes, colors, hinging styles, EMC-levels and mounting options. The standard size of the steel enclosures is 12U, 20U and 26U. The universal hinge allows the mounting to accommodate right or left side opening. Other key features include cable access ports, adjustable 19 inch mounting rails, depths in 14 and 20 inches and front and rear key locks. The W series come in solid walled enclosures or vented sides with a 250 CFM exhaust fan standard. Options include cantilevered shelves, busbars, power strips, cable management and filler panels. Optima offers six standard paint or powder coat colors with custom options. The panel doors come in Plexiglas or solid styles. ECS Case has release a line of rifle and weapons cases to its line of shipping cases and portable rackmount cases. These rotomold rifle cases are manufactured from durable linear low density polyethylene for maximum protection from weather and bumps in the road. Cases feature cushion support designed to securely protect and transport your rifles. The watertight gasket on the hinged lid is secured by locking hasps and ensures gear will arrive safely through rain, mud and the unknown. The automatic pressure relief valve allows for ease of operation through temperature and altitude changes. All black oxide stainless steel hardware is field replaceable for service in extreme situations. Molded-in screw inserts eliminate leak paths and heavy duty casters make the case well suited for all applications. Configurations are available for one to three rifles for most individual equipment needs. Large weapons cases for carrying eight M4 Rifles or 10 to 24 pistols are also available from ECS Case for military or training operations. MetCase Release Unimet-Plus Aluminum Instrument Enclosures Hazardous Location Control Panels Now Available from Mokon Mokon can now produce power and process control panels approved for use in hazardous locations in both Canada and the US (cULus Listed). Approved hazardous location panels for industrial applications are available for use in a variety of applications and industries including chemical and food processing, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, packaging, waste water and power generation. Mokon hazardous location control panels meet the following criteria: Class I, Division I explosion proof, Class I, Division I 12 MetCase, the metal enclosures division of OKW, has developed a new range of instrument enclosures, the Unimet-Plus series. These versatile housings have been designed for desktop and portable OEM electronics equipment. The Unimet-Plus enclosures are similar in size to the Unimet series, however, they have a completely new internal design and assembly technique. The Unimet-Plus series has an internal chassis that incorporates four horizontal guide positions for slide-in PCBs, rather than simple mounting holes in the base panel for the PCB. Whereas the Unimet series was designed for single board electronics equipment, the Unimet-Plus range is designed for multiple November/December 2011 www.ElectronicsProtectionMagazine.com http://www.ElectronicsProtectionMagazine.com
