Enclosures New 52U Server Enclosure Added To Rittal Product Lineup Rittal Corp.’s has release a new server enclosure is based on its PS design. It’s engineered to be attractive, strong and functional. The 52U is taller than most similar enclosures, offering stability and capacity to make it suitable in both a stand-alone and multi-unit configuration. The Rittal steel frame provides both strength and rigidity. It’s a torsion-free structure with a variety of internal points for securing hardware and accessories. The enclosure comes equipped with a single perforated front door and split rear doors and has a capacity of 3,000 pounds. Doors can be removed and reversed and split sidewalls can be locked in place. The unit’s maximum perforated area also meets or exceeds server manufacturers’ airflow specifications and these units provide for smooth airflow and efficient heat dissipation. The 52U is available in both 42- and 48-inch depth and 96inch height. Widths available include 24, 28 and 32 inches. The enclosure is available in both sand texture black and light grey (RAL 7035). The 52U enclosure adapts to a variety of applications including housing server, storage and network components. It’s well suited for data centers, MDC/IDC, wiring closets, offices or co-location and application environments. manager functionality provides a full six payload slots for a 50 percent increase in the computing density. The PXS0600 features a push-pull cooling configuration for added thermal management. All of the field replaceable units (FRUs) are hot-swappable, including the cooling units, washable filters, power entry modules (PEMs), shelf managers and AC power supplies. With 3x AC power supplies in an N+1 configuration, the chassis offers both AC and DC options. In fact, the AC and DC power can be running at the same time for swapping modules in the field, such as a base of operations in military applications. A 5U chassis with DC-only power is also available. The six-slot ATCA backplane offers a full mesh configuration. The shelf manager offers the unique integration of 10GbE and 1GbE layer two managed switch on the same module. With two shelf managers in the system there is a full redundancy and failover, both on the switch as well as on the shelf manager. TRTL BOT Unveils KidSafe Case for iPhone 4 And 4S Pixus Technologies Offers AdvancedTCA Chassis Offering 50 Percent More Computing Density Pixus Technologies has introduced a new 6U AdvancedTCA (ATCA) SlotSaver Shelf that gains two slots of payload card usage, along with AC power. The density, full redundancy and versatile power configuration is well suited for telecom, military/aerospace and high-end networking/computing applications. The 6U ATCA SlotSaver PXS0600 chassis features shelf managers that employ dual redundant switch functionality. An AdvancedTCA horizontal chassis would typically have to dedicate two slots for redundant switch cards, thus offering only four payload slots. With the Pixus Technologies PXS0600, the combined switch/shelf TRTL BOT has unveiled KidSafe, a reversible iPhone 4/4S case designed to protect it from damage while ensuring that apps and settings are inaccessible to children. Designed for families with young children, the KidSafe features a proprietary home button protective cover that prevents unwanted or mistaken access to the home screen, blocking the ability to access apps or settings.
