Enclosures Tripp Lite's Expanded Line of Wall-Mount Racks Provides More Options for IT Managers Tripp Lite has expanded its line of wall-mount rack enclosures. New models are available in sizes ranging from 5U to 26U and include options such as clear acrylic windows, black or white powder coating and NEMA cabinets for harsh environments. Tripp Lite wall-mount racks feature locking, ventilated steel cabinets and come in a variety of depths optimized for patch panels, network switches, UPS systems and servers. A wide range of accessories is available, including rolling casters, shelving and ventilation fans. All Tripp Lite wall-mount rack enclosures ship fully assembled for immediate deployment and have added features such as extra wall-mounting holes that make it easier to align the unit with wall studs and dual purpose rails that support square-hole and threaded- hole equipment mounting. Tripp Lite wall-mount racks are well suited for securing and organizing rack equipment in a location with limited floor space or in applications where a full-sized enclosure is not required. Teko Launches Larger Raspberry Pi Enclosures Teko has launched a range of larger enclosures for Raspberry Pi 2 and model B+ computers. It coincides with the fifth million Raspberry Pi rolling off the production line at the Sony UK Technology Center. TEK-RPI-XL's extra height enables the easy inclusion of supplementary break out PCBs and add-on modules. The enclosure's globally recognized features make it the most adaptable solution currently available on the market. Features include LED light pipes, a Raspberry Pi mount with screw, easy snap-on closing, base section air vents plus a cut-out to accommodate a GPIO 40 pin ribbon cable. The enclosures are available in one size (3.961 by 2.894 by 1.673 inches) and three standard colors: black (RAL 9004), white (RAL 7035) and transparent. They are molded in flame retardant ASYBLEND T65 (ABS+PC, V0). The TEK-RPI-XL enclosures offer a larger alternative to TEKO's existing TEK-BERRY+ range (3.961 by 2.894 by 1.122 inches). Accessories common to both ranges include the RPI-VESA adaptor, the RPI-CAM button camera enclosure and the RPI-COOLKIT heatsinks cooling kit. Rittal Introduces 316 Stainless Steel Version of TS 8 Enclosure Rittal Corp. has developed a harsh environment 316 stainless steel version of its flagship product, the TS 8 enclosure. The TS 8 is found in market sectors ranging from food/beverage and manufacturing to chemical, medical and wind power. The addition of the 316 stainless steel iteration of the TS 8 extends the cabinet's applications to oil and gas and water supply/ wastewater management installations. "Many industries have been looking for a more rugged version of our flexible and modular TS 8 that can endure harsh settings where corrosion is a fact of life," said Glenn Wishnew, senior product manager, Rittal. "316 stainless steel meets that need while still allowing the TS 8 to deliver on its design innovations - namely, expandability via baying, lower weight for reduced transportation costs, 30 percent more mounting space within, and far easier assembly and disassembly for reduced labor costs and time. It's a smart and potent addition to the TS 8 arsenal that we are confident will be very popular with our customers." The UL Type 4X modular enclosure system provides added flexibility, strength, durability and scalability in a freestanding enclosure cabinet that can also be connected to other TS 8s for countless configurations. The stainless steel 316 alloy offers resistance to high temperatures, common chlorides (such as salt present in seawater), as well as chemicals like sulfuric acid, bromides, iodides and fatty acids. Stainless steel 316 is also resistant to stress cracking, pitting and crevice corrosion. Competitively Priced Wash Down Stainless Steel Wall Mount Enclosures Stainless steel is the preferred enclosure material for use in the chemical, food and beverage, water treatment and allied industries. The latest addition to the Hammond Manufacturing range is the Waterfall series wall mounted enclosures, specifically designed for installation in applications where wash down capability is the key requirement. It is approved to NSF/ANSI 169 - Special Purpose Food Equipment and Devices, and is UL and CSA certified to NEMA 3R, 4, 4X and 12 (IEC60529 IP66). The Waterfall series is initially available in 18 sizes, ranging from 16 by 12 by 8 inches to 60 by 36 by 16 inches, in both 304 and 316 material.
