Enclosures
ROLEC conFORM EMI/RFI Shielded Enclosures Now in 14 Sizes

ROLEC conFORM enclosures - which offer built-in EMI/RFI shielding without the
need for expensive gaskets - are now available in 14 sizes (3.11 by 3.30 by 1.73
inches to 10.55 by 6.61 by 3.93 inches). These tough diecast aluminum enclosures
are designed for heavy duty industrial applications where EMI/RFI shielding is critical. They are ideal for electronics requiring regular maintenance: the lid can be removed and replaced without having to worry about damaging a conductive gasket.
ROLEC conFORM's integrated EMI/RFI shielding system uses uncoated teeth in the
base and a contact rail in the lid to guarantee permanent metal-to-metal contact.
Its high shielding from radiation interference has been tested by the University of
Hanover. Separate sealing and contact levels ensure the enclosures are able to offer IP 66 (IP 67 optional) ingress protection without compromising the EMI/RFI shielding. The enclosures' screw channels are outside the interior, maximising space for components. Inside, threaded screw bosses enable PCBs, mounting
plates and terminal rails to be installed. ROLEC conFORM is available in pebble gray (RAL 7032) as standard. Custom
colors and a corrosion protection coating (RAL 5009) are also available. Prices for conFORM start at $37. Accessories include external lid hinges, internal lid supports, external mounting brackets, a mounting kit, supporting rail
and mounting plate. ROLEC also offers a wide range of customization services including CNC machining, printing or
engraving/laser engraving of logos and legends, membrane keypads and assembly.

Polycase Introduces Line of NEMA Steel Enclosures

Polycase has introduced a line of NEMA-rated steel enclosures. Manufactured to
meet demanding environmental conditions, the corrosion-resistant SB series steel
enclosures protect industrial equipment against circulating dust, falling dirt, rain,
and hose directed water.
Available in 18 sizes ranging from 8 by 6 by 6 inches up to 24 by 24 by 10 inches,
the steel enclosures are UL Listed to UL 508A and meet NEMA 1, 2, 4, 4X, & 12
requirements along with IP65 & IP66 ratings. A smooth gray powder coat covers the
16 gauge steel housing. Additional features include a hinged door with keyed quarter turn latch, watertight gasket and bonding studs for grounding in both the base
and door. Included with every unit is an internal panel, external mounting brackets,
latch key, grounding wire and hardware.

Electronics Enclosures for Rugged Applications

Phoenix Contact's newest enclosure system protects electronics from potentially damaging
elements commonly found in outdoor applications and extreme indoor environments. The
two-piece, sealed environmental case system (ECS) creates IP66, IP67, and NEMA 6 ratings
with a latch or screw-locking method.
The enclosure has integrated connection options with one or two M12 inserts, as well as an
option for a cable gland. Alternatively, a blank faceplate can be modified to accommodate
any sealed connector that fits within the housing profile. The polycarbonate (PC) enclosure
withstands rapid temperature swings, UV exposure, and extreme temperatures of -40°C to
85°C. The integrated connection technology simplifies packaging devices intended for control on vehicles, rugged industrial wireless applications, and even small cell installations.
The ECS also offers a PCB lock which prevents falls and allows for easy maintenance. Using
an accessory, the ECS can be readily mounted to a pole or a wall without compromising its
ease of PCB repair or replacement.
