Quantum Design is the leading manufacturer of automated material characterization systems for the physics, chemistry, and material science research communities. These fully automated systems provide temperatures from 0.05 to 1000 K and magnet fields up to 16 tesla. The Physical Property Measurement System (PPMS) is designed to provide a wide range of measurements, including: magnetometry (VSM, Torque, DC & AC), electrical transport (DC, AC, Hall effect and critical current), heat capacity, and thermal transport (thermal conductivity, Seebeck coefficient, thermopower). The SQUID-based Magnetic Property Measurement System (MPMS) is the industry standard for ultra-sensitive magnetic measurements. VersaLab is our first portable, cryogen-free cryocooler-based Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM). With a sensitivity of better than 10-6 emu/rt-Hz, this 3-tesla VSM has a temperature range of 50 to 400 K.
