Security - Products & Services Extreme temperatures, vibrations and sudden shocks can severely compromise the performance of a video encoder resulting in lost images or complete video loss. For video surveillance applications where these harsh conditions exist, the Moxa VPort 461-ON-T video encoder excels with its combination of rugged mission-critical design and excellent video quality. The VPort 461-ON-T single channel industrial video encoder features an efficient H.264 video compression, enabling the transmission of live or recorded video with video latency under 200 ms, all without taxing the network’s bandwidth. In addition, it can provide up to three video streams simultaneously for use in viewing, recording and analyzing in either H.264 or MJPEG. Because the VPort 461-ON-T is ONVIF compliant, it allows for standardization and interoperability with VMS software partners as well as ONVIF compliant NVR network video recorders. In addition, it comes equipped with Moxa’s DynaStream function for minimizing bandwidth consumption of the video transmission by automatically increasing or decreasing the video frame rate by the system settings or a system administrator. The VPort 461-ON-T is designed for harsh conditions and is protected by a host of advancements that empower it to digitize analog video signals and transmit them over an IP network in the wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 75°C. Moxa Video Encoder Enables Flexible Migration of Analog Cameras into IP Network Video Systems Optimized for connected services, eSEC makes it possible to ensure endto-end security at low cost. Not only does the solution reduce traffic and accompanying cost, it also reduces the investment cost needed compared to traditional security solutions. Moreover the eSEC services are not limited to use with Telenor Connexion’s SIM or connectivity, meaning all IP and SMS connectivity can be secured regardless of supplier of connectivity channel. Hikvision has released its improved DIS series analog cameras, the DS2CE1582P(N)-VFIR3 600TVL IR bullet camera and the DS-2CE5582P(N)-VFIR3 600TVL DIS IR dome camera. Both of these analog models offer higher resolution and ultra low illumination. Developed by Hikvision, the DIS (Digital Image System) series boasts advanced features, such as image quality, power consumption and greater overall system stability. Additionally, both cameras in the DIS family feature a 1/3 inch DIS image sensor with 600TVL ultra-high horizontal resolution. Compared with conventional analog cameras, which only offer 480 / 540 TVL horizontal resolution, these ncameras provide higher video quality and improved image detail. These units employ a vari-focal lens that benefits users by allowing easier focusing without requiring any movement in the initial camera setup. Moreover, the two cameras incorporate excellent low-light performance with a minimum illumination of 0.1Lux @ F1.2 (with AGC on) and 0 Lux with IR. Armed with this advantage, they are able to deliver superb quality images for objects within 40 meters (131 feet) under low-light conditions or even in total darkness. The DS-2CE1582P(N)-VFIR3 and DS-2CE5582P(N)-VFIR3 are able to operate in weather conditions ranging from -40°C to 60°C without an external heater, which enhances camera stability in virtually any working environment. Furthermore, the power consumption requirement is as low as 4 W (6.5W with IR cut filter on), providing additional working flexibility. Rounding out these units, Hikvision’s IP66-rated housing additionally protects the cameras from external elements, such as rain or dusty environments found in harbors, industrial parks. Videx has released its latest CyberLock Flex System module. The CyberLock Flex System Keyport is part of an access control system designed to increase security, track and control access, and improve key control throughout a facility. The Keyport module is a component of the Flex System, an expansion platform that brings all of the benefits of a wired access control solution to the key-centric CyberLock system. This rugged, weatherized multifunction module can serve as both a CyberLock communication device and a Flex System input device. As a CyberLock communicator, the Keyport downloads audit trail information from CyberKey smart keys and reports access activity to the management software. Simultaneously, the Keyport module updates keys with new access schedules, permissions and system updates. The audit trail pulled from the key includes the time, date and location of both access granted and access denied events. As a Flex System module, the Keyport serves as an input device for operating a wired door. Upon presentation of an authorized CyberKey, it will release any Flex System compatible electric strike, unlocking the lock. Hikvision Launches 600TVL DIS Analog Cameras Elk Products Releases M1ToGo for the M1 Control Panel Elk Products has released a new user interface for the M1 Security and Control panel called M1ToGo. M1ToGo provides users computer-based, Internet remote access to their M1 from anywhere in the world. The secured Windows-based platform allows users full access to their security system along with lighting and energy management, door/ gate access and any other systems connected and controlled through the M1. The M1 Security and Control panel is flexible and integration friendly. “ELK is constantly looking for new ways to enhance the end user experience with the M1,” said Joel Rosson, president, ELK. “We think M1ToGo is a friendly and efficient interface that will provide an enhanced level of convenience to our users.” The best part is that M1ToGo is a free download to installers of the M1. This handy tool can be provided to customers as a service. A great benefit of this interface is that multiple M1s can be accessed through a single version of M1ToGo. Videx Launches Access Control Module Telenor Connexion’s new end-to-end security service, eSEC, helps customers with a positive security business case by reducing complexity, increasing security and simplifying M2M. With the introduction of the eSEC (embedded Security Enabled Communications) service Telenor Connexion is taking an end-to-end approach to security in M2M solutions, ensuring that all possible hacking points in a connected service are addressed. The eSEC managed service solution enables end-to-end encryption all the way from the M2M device through any connectivity channel to a security gateway. Having an end-to-end security solution also means content, applications, payments and other services can securely be made available to open new revenue possibilities. To accomplish this there are four key criteria: banking grade security, lightweight encryption methods, open roadmap and manageability. All addressed in the eSEC managed service solution. 24 www.RemoteMagazine.com Telenor Connexion Introduces Security Solution Optimized for Connected Services http://www.RemoteMagazine.com
