Networking - Products & Services Antenova M2M a Novel Surface Mount Antenna For LTE, Cellular and MIMO Systems Antenova Ltd. has released Lucida, an SMD antenna for all LTE applications and MIMO systems. While the current majority of LTE user devices operate in the 700 MHz band, which has been heavily driven by the US market, rollout of LTE networks in other regions now requires devices to operate in the LTE frequency bands utilized in those markets as well. The Lucida antenna does just that, operating in all of the LTE and mobile bands: LTE 700, GSM 850, GSM 900, DCS 1800, PCS 1900, WCDMA 2100, LTE B7 (2500 - 2690 MHz, LTE B40 (2300-2400 MHz). This makes it suitable for use in 4G MiFi routers, Femto/Pico base stations, portable devices, remote monitoring, network devices, and wearable devices. Lucida is a small, ultra-low profile antenna, measuring 35 by 8.5 by 3.2 mm. It is built to a design that enables it to maintain a high performance, wide frequency range and MIMO requirements of the LTE spectrum from its position embedded within a wireless device. Antenova's antenna design team has adopted a philosophy of Design for Integration where the design approach is to create an antenna that a product designer can place on a PCB and integrate with the other circuits conveniently, rather than designing a product to fit around the antenna. FreeWave Technologies Releases WavePro Shorthaul Communications Solution FreeWave Technologies has unveiled its first in a series of Sensor-2-Server (S2S) solutions with the introduction of the WavePro WP201 shorthaul (between one to five miles) and Wi-Fi hotspot platform. The WP201 delivers secure collection, control and transport of all Voice, Video, Data and Sensor (VVDS) information and is a critical component of FreeWave's S2S communications solution. This communication platform is designed for outdoor industrial locations and has proven reliability in extreme environmental conditions. FreeWave's S2S access layer strategy focuses on delivering the best-in-class access layer platforms that allow IoT data and information to be analyzed, acted upon and transmit30 www.RemoteMagazine.com ted securely from anywhere in the industrial IoT network. S2S is centered on four critical pillars of IoT networking and communication success: data collection, protection, transport and control. The WP201 was developed to enable the high-speed transport of data in remote locations. By incorporating dual-band, concurrently operational radios (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) into an IP67 enclosure, the WP201 brings industrial-grade communications to the harshest of environments without fail. WavePro WP201 leverages multiple networking protocols and services designed to meet the needs of enterprise-scale communications across a wide range of critical infrastructure industries. Static routing, dynamic routing and multiple VLANs, among other services, allow for streamlined configuration and integration in remote settings where traditional SCADA networks will not suffice. FreeWave sees WP201 as a truly global solution, homologating in a number of countries beyond the USA including Canada, LATAM, the Middle East, the Far East and Europe. Tait TB7300 DMR Base Station Radio Packs Big Features in Small Package Tait Communications has released a slimline DMR base station, the Tait TB7300. The base station offers a thin 1U-mount radio equally suited to Tait DMR Tier 3 trunked networks as well as conventional DMR Tier 2 applications. The TB7300 offers added receiver performance that matches or exceeds other DMR Tier 2 base stations on the market for sensitivity, selectivity and intermodulation performance. This means that customers get extended talk-in (uplink) range with significantly reduced risk of interference. It's also a compact single unit, with all RF/processing elements contained within the case, which fits into a single 1U rack space (1.7 inches/44 mm) in an industry-standard 19-inch-wide equipment rack. Thanks to superior engineering design and reduced componentry, the TB7300 is a lightweight unit easily handled by engineering staff and unobtrusive in customer locations. Tait has positioned the TB7300 at an accessible price point, making it an ideal choice for customers starting a migration path from analog to DMR or for those already operating Tier 2 or 3 networks and looking to augment their base station capability. http://www.RemoteMagazine.com
