A timeline assists with the flow of your day for the bride and groom, the wedding party and all your wedding vendors. To stay on track, everyone involved should receive a copy of the timeline at your rehearsal or just before your wedding day. Start creating your own timeline by first scheduling the most important elements of your day, like the ceremony and reception start time. Next, fill in the details. Allow some extra time in the schedule for any elements that may take longer then expected. Consider any travel and leave room for unexpected delays. Also, to help with any ‘day of’ glitches or complications that may arise, consider asking a trusted friend or family member to oversee the details of the day. Give this person a copy of the wedding day timeline and vendor contact information and allow them to handle anything that needs attention. Let them also be in charge of handing out any final payments and tips so you can enjoy each moment of your reception. Right: A sample wedding day timeline.
