The first is the IronRoute blended

Mr Bleakley said the IronRoute solution
offers broadcasters, programmers, media
organizations, and other content providers
with flexible and scalable cloud-based content
distribution, while solving the challenge of
first and last-mile connectivity to and from
the cloud. IronRoute can deliver reliable
connectivity by blending broadband, cellular
(3G/4G/5G), and satellite connectivity from
Intelsat's global network.
Integrated with IronRoute is Dejero's
Smart Blending Technology that combines
all available network connections to create
a virtual 'network of networks' with the
necessary bandwidth to deliver broadcastquality content.
"We bond all these technologies together,"
said Mr Bleakley. "The whole idea is that
whatever is needed to make that link robust,

The second product on display at the
Intelsat booth is the Kymeta u7 Ku-band
satellite terminal which address the need for
lightweight, low-profile and high-throughput
communications on-the-move.
"It fits on a car, SUV, a fire engine or an
ambulance," said Mr Bleakley. The Kymeta
can provide a two-way connectivity using
Intelsat's global network so users can be
connected anywhere in the globe.
Noting that there was an operational Kymeta
antenna at the booth, he said that there was
significant interest from disaster recovery
and 911 organizations, who would need wi-fi
connectivity wherever they are located.

Go See the Lights at ETC Connect
A
ttracting interest at BroadcastAsia, lighting
company ETC Connect holds hourly light
shows using some of the company's star
products.
Designed for large stadium shows, theme
park installations and concert tours, a Hog
4-18 automated lighting control console is
being used to control the lighting spectacle.
Kenny Lo, Regional Sales Manager for ETC
Connect explained to the Show Daily that
the Hog 4-18 has a versatile and powerful
operation system for fast programming
capability applicable to any lighting
entertainment project.
"It has sophisticated networking features for
unlimited expansions," he said. There is also
a Pixel mapping feature and video importing
capabilities. "The console is affordable, and
its pricing reasonable compared with other
solutions on the same tier," Mr Lo added.
To achieve the dramatic lighting effects
at the booth, ETC Connect uses the Sola
Series moving lights, which Mr Lo said has
advanced optic system for punchy beams,
saturated color washes, full curtain and
"extremely fast framing" shutters. Suitable for

theatres and studios the Sola Series has very
low noise.
The show was created by noted lighting
designer Adrian Ngieng, who said he enjoyed
designing the project because the Hog and
Sola systems, has a number of features
which enhance his illuminating ideas.
Mr Ngieng explained that once the light
plotting and how the lights affect the venue
are worked out, he can finally express his
creativity - a feat achieved thanks to the
brilliance of the Sola Series controlled by the
Hog 4-18 console system.
