BVE 2015 Snapshots cont'd...

Shotoku's SX300VR provides
a position interface

Microvideo will introduce an H.264
encoder in addition to its current
range of products allowing remote
equipment, in multiple locations,
to be controlled from a single point
using the signals in the video blanking
interval.
Miller Tripods will promote its range
of camera mounts including the
Skyline 70 fluid head and Compass 12
tripod. Also on the stand will be the
Air tripod which is designed for DSLR
cameras.
NAC's Hi-Motion II sports broadcast
camera will be demonstrated on the
Ikegami stand. Jointly developed by
the two companies, the Hi-Motion II
employs three-sensor 1920 x 1080
native technology and has a broadcast
industry standard B4 lens mount.
Neutrik will exhibit is Xirium wireless
digital audio link which is designed
to replace cables in studio or
theatre productions or for general
communication during public events.
Object Matrix offers object-based
nearline storage in sizes from 30
terabytes up to multi petabytes.

PlayBox Technology will demonstrate
its
broadcast
Channel-In-A-Box
branding and playout product range.
New for BVE 2015 is SocialMediaBox
which enables comments from
multiple social networking feeds to
be integrated into a single readyfor-broadcast stream. Also new is
CaptureBox Pro which allows multiple
channels of HD or SD content to
be captured from SDI digital feeds,
analogue sources and MPEG transport
streams.
Plura Broadcast will display a range
of LCD picture monitors in sizes up to
70-inches plus a range of timecode
products.
Prime Focus will show its Clear Media
ERP platform. Originally established
in Mumbai, the company has since
acquired post-production and visual
effects companies in London, Los
Angeles, Vancouver and New York.
Promax Systems' new Platform
Portable server allows video editors to
connect their existing attached storage
devices and transform them into a
shared editing network. Platform
Portable is cross-platform compatible
(OSX, Windows, Linux) and connects
with Thunderbolt, USB, FireWire, SAS
and eSATA.
RTS will exhibit examples from its
range of wired and wireless intercom
systems and headsets. Also on show
will be the Omneo IP-based intercom
system which can be configured from a
range of card modules.
Rycote will display its range of
microphone wind protection and
shock-mount products including the

Cyclone, Super Shield Kit, Super
Softie and Classic Softie.
Screen will demonstrate a
recently developed method
for served web video playback.
This is designed to ensure that
subtitles are always displayed
in the originally intended
position and style
on web and OTT
content
while
allowing viewers to
select from several
language
streams
without the need to
re-encode the video or host RTS
OMI card
multiple copies of media.
Sennheiser will show examples
from its range of wired and wireless
microphones and audio monitoring
products.
Shotoku will promote its range of
camera tripods, pedestals and robotic
heads. Based on the established SX300
EFP head, the new SX300VR combines
with the serial position interface to
provide frame-synchronised highresolution data tracking, compatible
with VR graphics systems through
industry-standard data protocols.
Signiant will demonstrate Media
Shuttle and Flight. Media Shuttle
is designed to allow drop box style
sending and sharing of large files.
Flight accelerates the movement
of large files into and out of cloud
storage.
Suitcase TV specialises in content
management and compliance logging
products. Besides its MediaStor
content management system, it will
exhibit the Aqua series of software
modules,
including
TrakStak,
MetaGenus, and ShotLogger.
Systembase will display its new C500
series of IP, ISDN and X.21 audio
codecs. The C500ip is designed for
live audio streaming over IP networks
including VPN, MPLS and ADSL lines.

error-correction algorithm.
Telemetrics will exhibit its
camera support products,
ranging
from
curved
camera tracks to motorised
telescoping tripods and all-inone robotic camera systems.
Unlimi-Tech Software will
promote
its
FileCatalyst
software which is designed
to allow files of any size or
format to be sent at up to 10
gigabits per second across
global networks.
Vision Research will show
the Phantom Flex4K camera
which is capable of recording
up to 1,000 fps at 4K resolution.
Vislink Group owns Advent, Amplifier
Technology, Gigawave, LiveGear, Link
Research, MRC and Pebble Beach
Systems. Products to be promoted
at BVE 2015 include microwave
radio, satellite transmission, cellular,
wireless
camera
systems
and
broadcast management software.
Vizrt will demonstrate a range of
new video graphics system software
plug-ins including Maxon Cinema 4D
which adds geometric, lighting and
animation to Viz Artist and Viz Engine
when importing shapes from any 3D
modelling package. Changes can be
updated live when Viz Artist is set to
on-air mode.
wTVision will exhibit its iSportStats CG
software which is designed to handle
over 40 different sports. The singleoperator version allows one person to
gather and launch the graphics.
Xendata will promote its new X2500USB LTO-6 drive that connects to a
notebook or workstation via USB 3.0
and the SXL-3000 network attached
LTO archive which is available with 150
to 750 terabyte capacities. This is the
equivalent of 6,500 to 32,000 hours of
HD video, recorded at 50 megabits per
second.
