Piksel Liberates
Made TV Content
GBR: Piksel has announced its
partnership with Made Television,
launching its ﬁrst VoD catch up
service, OnView, and managing the
rollout of its online live streams.
Using the Piksel Digital Enterprise
video platform, Made Television
has rolled out four VoD channels
for Bristol, Cardiff, Leeds, Tyne,
and Wear.
Delivering 75 hours of content
at launch, a further 55 hours of
content will be added each week.
Further live, linear channels are
planned later in the year.

Skyline Steps Up
Expansion Plans
BEL: Skyline Communications, a
global leader in end-to-end multivendor network management
and OSS software solutions for
the satellite, broadcast, IPTV and
HFC broadband industries, is to
accelerate its expansion.
The company intends to hire more
than 50 ICT, software and telecom
engineers in 2015, and expects to
double its staff by 2017.
To support the rapid expansion of
the company, a new headquarters
building was recently erected in
Izegem, Belgium.

Wohler Enhances
Tachyon Wormhole
USA: At NAB, Wohler Technologies
will unveil enhancements to its
Tachyon Wormhole automated
ﬁle-based retiming and standards
conversion solution.
The version 2.3 release introduces
a segment detection feature, which
enables operators to generate
a list of timecode segments
automatically based on the audio
and video characteristics of the ﬁle
to be retimed.
Tachyon Wormhole can perform a
plus or minus runtime adjustment
of media assets while preserving
not only video and audio quality,
but also closed-caption integrity.

Dialogue Search
V2 Announced
USA: Version 2.0 of Nexidia
Dialogue Search boasts several
new features including full-text
search and ﬁltering of all metadata
ﬁelds across all available sources,
Avid Interplay MAM support, and a
redesigned user interface.
Interplay MAM support is the latest
in a growing list of integrations
with the industry's leading Media
Asset Management solutions,
including Interplay Production,
Dalet Galaxy, IPV Curator, Vizrt
Viz One, and Square Box Systems'
CatDV.

edia General has adopted a suite
of next-generation ChyronHego
graphics creation and workﬂow
solutions for 15 of its owned or
operated television stations.
"One of our goals for the graphics
upgrade was to empower our local
teams at the stations to do more of
their own graphics creation," said
Mark Turner, Vice President of Station
Engineering and Operations, Media
General.
"After evaluating many products,
it was clear that ChyronHego not

only met our requirements for a fully
integrated single-vendor solution, but
also provides the cloud-based tools,
such as Axis, to make the local stations
more self-sufﬁcient."
Installed in MGFX, Media General's
centralised graphics hub in Richmond,
Virginia,
ChyronHego's
BlueNet,
Mosaic, CAMIO, and Axis World
Graphics systems will give each
station's production control room
an integrated and comprehensive
platform for graphics creation and
workﬂow management.

Viz Libero Integrates With
DreamCatcher Server

t NAB, Vizrt will showcase its
integration between Viz Libero
sports analysis solution and Evertz'
DreamCatcher replay system.
The integration allows Viz Libero to
control DreamCatcher and capture
video from various game plays for
analysis clip production, giving TV
viewers unprecedented insights into
controversial or interesting highlights.
"DreamCatcher is a proven and
robust IP-based replay system. Its
replay capabilities and openness
for video control make it the ideal
system to integrate with Viz Libero,"
said Stephan Wurmlin Stadler, Vizrt's
Executive Vice President, Sports. "The
integration of our products creates the

perfect sports analysis and
replay workﬂow for the
OB van at the venue or
back at the station when
covering live sports like
football, baseball, hockey,
and soccer."
From within the Viz
Libero application, users
can directly control the
DreamCatcher server, switch cameras
and access different game plays, to
create analysis clips without the need
for any DreamCatcher control unit or
separate operator.
Viz Libero will then create 3D virtual
perspectives along with annotations,
player tracks, and many other analysis

features.
Once the analysis is complete, the
clip is either played out directly from
Viz Libero or pushed back to the
DreamCatcher clip library for access by
the producer or highlights programme
manager.
