RF-Design: The company has
announced a broadband remote
monitoring
system
enabling
continuous monitoring and fault
identiﬁcation. Its new SQA-16 can
monitor a maximum 16 RF signals and
DVB transport streams. The system
is a scalable sequential analyser and
monitoring arrangement (RF, DVB-C
and DVBS/S2), suited for remote
monitoring applications. Its carrier
monitoring software continuously
scans all switch input ports on
sequence, and measures the speciﬁed
parameters for every channel on that
input port, while a single measurement
mode allows to select individual RF
port and a speciﬁc channel on that port
can be measured as required. Features
include test point attenuation, alarm
functions,
measurement
history,
record/replay and print function.

File-based &HD T&M
Leader has released a new LT8900
modular multi-format video and
sync-pulse generator. It can generate
1080/720 high-deﬁnition and 625/525line standard-deﬁnition reference
and test signals simultaneously. To
achieve this, it integrates an extensive
library of reference and test signals
meeting current signal standards. This
catalogue is expected to be expanded
to accommodate future standards,
matching
future
broadcasting
requirements. Developed both for
testing broadcast systems and as a
master timing reference, the system
supports a broad selection of optional
features which can be activated or
upgraded either locally or from a
remote location.
Murraypro's
new
EYE-POD
accessory module extends the
company's Test Chest 3G's capability
to display and measure SD, HD & 3G
SDI transport parameters. These now
include eye-display, rise & fall-time,
and overshoot artefacts together with
timing and alignment jitter to SMPTE
292M. One of the stand-out features

of the product is its diminutive size: at
approximately 7 cm wide and with a
tough build quality which is said to be
aimed at absorbing real world rough
and tumble, it clearly knows its user
well.
Phabrix has announced a new
software release for its Rx rack mount
range. Dolby decode and metadata
reporting has been enhanced to
include Dolby E, Dolby D and Dolby
D plus. The new audio mix down
instrument is available to identify
audio routing from embedded, AES
and Dolby sources. The user can
select L and R channel sources or
mute channels if required to identify
audio at any time. The new included
loudness instrumentation, supports
single channel logging but can be
optionally extended to four channels.
On the video front, the on board
generator now provides direct system
