Vislink Captures
MotoGP In UHD
GBR: Dorna Sports in collaboration
with BT Sport, the UK broadcasting
partner of MotoGP, produced
live coverage of the Octo British
Grand Prix at Silverstone in Ultra
High Definition. Viewers of the BT
Sport UHD channel were able to
watch the qualifying and races of
the MotoGP World Championship
live in UHD. Among the 19 UHD
cameras covering the circuit, was a
super slow motion camera, and the
live wireless 4K cameras provided
by Vislink.

PlayBox Supports
Tata Cloud Playout
GBR: PlayBox Technology's CloudAir virtual application has been selected by Tata Communications to
support its Cloud broadcast playout service. The service, originally
announced at NAB 2015 as part of
Tata Communications' Cloud-based
media ecosystem platform, will be
available in September 2015 and
accessible under full IP-based connectivity control.
CloudAir from PlayBox Technology
is a universal television playout
and streaming system designed for
continuous unattended operation.
Over 24% of the world's Internet
routes travel over Tata Communications' network.

technology - Kyrion encoder, Multiplexer and AMS (ATEME Management System) to power, control
and manage its primary distribution feeds The Kyrion CM5000 is
based on ATEME's fifth generation
STREAM compression engine,
delivering high video quality at
minimum bitrates with ultra-low
latency. AMS provides control and
management of both ATEME products and over 3,000 third-party
products. With over 120 affiliates
nationwide, Globo is Brazil's largest broadcaster, delivering HD and
ISDB-T 1seg services.

AP Extends Live Video
For Broadcasters
A

P is extending the depth and range
of video content, so that alongside
AP Direct, broadcasters can access
three additional live content streams
from AP Video Hub.
Previously only available to digital
publishers, the three streams will offer
a wide range of scheduled live global
and regional events on top of breaking
news. This will enable extended
coverage of live news for broadcasters,
as well as a wider choice of additional
content.
"The needs of broadcasters continue
to change along with the audiences
they serve," said Derl McCrudden,
Head of International Video News for
AP. "Not only do they now have more

television channels to
fill, but many of them
also have a digital
offering - reaching
consumers
across
several
platforms.
The changes will
allow them to offer
variety and add value
to their audiences
however they are
viewing."

technology shows, sports news and

AP is also investing in additional live

AP intends to switch off its Global
Video Wire in March 2016, moving all
customers to digital delivery ahead of
that time.

installed new solutions to Discovery
Network Denmark to expand the EVS
workflow already in place.
Creating a more powerful and
flexible live production workflow,
the broadcaster has implemented
a brand new XT3 live production
server, Xedio CleanEdit and router

control functionalities to the existing
IPDirector PAM system.
With exclusive national broadcast
rights to the Danish Super Liga
and some of the biggest sporting
properties in Europe, including the,
English Premier League, Bundesliga,
FA Cup football and content from
Eurosport,

Denmark needs to have an easy to use,
efficient and reliable
solution to produce
world-class content for
its audiences.
The existing workflow
Discovery Networks
Denmark has expanded
its EVS infrastructure

solution consisted of an XT3 live
production server, an IPDirector
PAM content management suite with
several clients, XTAccess gateway units
and Xsquare orchestration software.
With the addition of another XT3,
the new workflow enhances content
management across the network and
is integrated flawlessly with third party
solutions like the Avid editing and
Piero analytical systems.
As any XT3 input channel can be
streamed to multiple destinations as
growing files in real time, Discovery's
workflow enables more efficient
resource management and avoids the
production of multiple SDI recordings,
saving both cost and resources.
