USA: Facilis is showcasing several
of its latest products at CCW.
These include solutions for
high-end and budget conscious
facilities, along with a new tracking
product that combines search,
management and access to project
assets in a simple interface.
Facilis TerraBlock software Version
6.5 includes new scalability
features
for
volumes
and
workgroups. On display will be the
TerraBlock 24D /HA Hybrid Array
that includes a drive group of eight
SSDs for ultra-high performance.

Adder Connects
IP Revolution
USA / GBR: High performance KVM
specialist Adder Technology will
be demonstrating its full range of
KVM, extension and connectivity
solutions at CCW. This includes
redundant network operations,
redundant and centralised power
solutions, and a redundant
management server solution.
Taking centre stage will be the
launch of the AdderView DDX30.
The DDX matrix is compact, has
a choice of DVI and DisplayPort
transmitters, and provides beyond
HD resolution (up to 1920x1200) at
60fps.

JMR Thunderbolt
SSD Flash Drive
USA: JMR Electronics is shipping
its Lightning LTNG-XTD portable
Thunderbolt SSD Flash Drive.
The compact PCIe Flash Drive
with Thunderbolt 2 interface is a
portable bus-powered drive.
Introduced with 256GB storage
capacity, 512GB and 1.02TB models
will be added in the future.
The drive is a high performance
alternative to USB thumb drives,
SATA-based hard disk drives, and
SSD storage products.
Connection to a compatible Mac
or Windows computer is via an
attached Thunderbolt cable.

B Broadcast has successfully
completed a two-week project to
design, build and test a new studio in
Jaipur, India for TV retailer The Genuine
Gemstone Company (TGGC).
This highly successful project has
just gone live at www.gemporia.in. The
leading systems integrator won the
contract after competitive tender.
By implementing a prefabrication
stage at its headquarters near
Cambridge prior to dismantling and
shipping the hardware to its final
overseas destination, dB was able to
install, test and commission the studio,
gallery and associated technical area
in only two weeks.

The approach also
ensured a high degree
of reliability in the
finished design, as well
as allowing for system
configuration
and
production of the 'asbuilt'
documentation
that was used in training prior to
shipping.
The HD studio is based on Sony
HXC-D70 cameras, Vitec pedestals, a
Snell Kahuna vision mixer and Pyxis
router, Pixel Power graphics and Grass
Valley servers. Constructed as a fourcamera studio, the control room has
been designed for operation by three

to five people.
In the latest project, dB was
responsible for the shipping of the
goods from its factory to the customer
site in Jaipur, including all paperwork
- a process that went very smoothly,
with goods taking less than 10 days
door to door.

Telestream Cloud Launched

elestream has acquired Cloudbased
encoding
provider,
PandaStream.
The acquisition is a result of a
comprehensive
investigation
of
key suppliers in the cloud-based
encoding market, and it accelerates
Telestream's strategy for providing
cloud services to complement its onpremise solutions.

and desktop product

Telestream Cloud is a
Software-as-a-Service
(SaaS) offering that builds
on Telestream's significant
position and long history
in transcoding.

This new platform makes the
PandaStream encoding capabilities
available under the Telestream brand
and will serve as the foundation for
future offerings in the cloud.
Using the PandaStream architecture,
Telestream Cloud offers a globally
distributed, VOD encoding platform
that dynamically scales in response to
customer requirements.
File transfer and encoding times
are optimised from any location since
Telestream Cloud leverages multiple
cloud service providers including
Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web
Services and Rackspace.
Telestream will be rolling out
additional services over time. The
PandaStream team will transition
to a separate business unit within
Telestream over the next couple of
weeks.
