Chroma-Q LED Lighting Range
With Previews at both the IBC and
PLASA 2015 tradeshows, exclusive
UK dealer, A.C. Entertainment
Technologies Ltd (AC-ET), have shown
a new innovation in LED top sources
with a preview of the soon-to-launch
Space Force fixture from Chroma-Q.
The Space Force is designed to
operate in a similar environment to
the traditional 6kw space light, when
utilising as they most often do, a silk
and black skirt.
Output from the Space Force is
entirely comparable to the traditional
space light, when deployed in this
manner, with the additional benefit of
being colour tunable between 2800K
and 6100K.
The key elements of traditional space
light performance relate to the volume
of light produced, and the evenness of
light falling on the floor beneath it.
Space Force produces output which
if uncontrolled provides for a beam
angle of 170 degrees. Designed to be
hung in grids at 10 foot centres, the
fixture creates very even illumination
across the floor, without significantly
increased stop where the output
overlaps.
A number of additional benefits can
also be factored in, when comparing
the Space Force to not only the
traditional fixture, but also other LED
space lights which now exist.

Fiilex LED Lighting Range
Fiilex are as yet a relatively unknown
(in the UK at least), range of colour

more than just two colours of LED to

diffuser and a more traditional fabricbased soft box.

There is also a DMX capability that
facilitates control of fixtures from a
lighting desk.
To complete the fixture line-up as
a fully portable option, a range of
hard case based kits are available,
which group the fixtures into various
configurations, including stands etc.
The kits provide an easy option for
most users, although building up a
bespoke kit is still possible to suit
personal taste.
