DEN / USA: Dynaudio and DAD
have joined forces to develop
high-end monitoring systems for
music, film, post and broadcast
production, as well as audio
mastering.
Dynaudio's PRO division has
supplied countless top studios with
monitoring solutions over several
decades. Similarly, DAD is an
industry standard in audio routing
and distribution.
Therefore, it was a natural next
step for DAD to develop the
ProMon license, which effectively
turns an AX32 or DX32 audio
router/converter into a monitor
controller.

Yamaha Extends
Pro Cans Range

EUR: Yamaha has launched its
latest MT Series headphones, the
HPH-MT8 and HPH-MT5, developed
to provide engineers with the
high levels of precision and
fidelity required for professional
monitoring.
MT Series headphones are
designed to deliver flat, highresolution sound with precise
stereo imaging and faithful
source signal reproduction, while
providing a high level of isolation
and comfort to ward off fatigue
during
extended
monitoring
sessions.
The HPH-MT8 and HPH-MT5 will be
available during 2016.

Gets WAV Support

USA: WAV file support for the
cineXinsert app means you never
have to bring your file back to an
NLE in order to create multiple
audio layouts.
cineXinsert allows you to add up to
32 tracks of WAV files, each with
start times of your choosing.
The newly added WAV files (and
Video) are never re-encoded - it
simply rewraps the master audio
and the master video so the QC is
still good.

AIMS Passes Fifty
Member Milestone

AIMS,
including Canon, Ciema, Gefel,
Harman, LiveU and tcp.
Formed last December, to
promote the adoption of an openstandards approach in transitioning
to IP-based broadcast and video
production workflows, the summer
membership surge saw the alliance
pass its fiftieth member milestone in
just eight months.
The latest member companies
represent a wide diversity of global
broadcast and related IT disciplines
and activities; including imaging and
information
technologies,
digital

optical network transport solutions,
live IP video solutions, broadcast
production and facilities services,
broadcast equipment manufacturing
and professional audio systems design
and manufacturing.
AIMS'
efforts
are
focused
on
promoting
the
adoption,
standardisation, development and
refinement of open protocols for
media over IP, with an initial emphasis
on VSF TR-03 and TR-04, SMPTE 2022-

6 and AES67.
Open standards are the key to
protecting current investments and
ensuring long-term interoperability.
Open standards work for the IP
transition is already underway
by the 77-member Video Services
Forum (VSF), with the support of
organisations such as SMPTE and the
EBU.
AIMS endorses the work of the VSF
and will continue to lend support in the
development of a standard approach
to IP; more than 30 broadcast
equipment suppliers and broadcasters
were involved in the development of
VSF TR-03 and companies are actively
testing and validating it.

Clear-Com Expands LQ Series
C

lear-Com has unveiled new
LQ software and three new IP
connectivity devices to add to the LQ
Series.
LQ devices can also now connect
directly to the Eclipse HX matrix,
which enables routing of intercom
audio and signals across large
distances. They provide
universal
connectivity

between any industry-standard twowire or four-wire intercom system or
audio source, anywhere over the IP
network.
The new models add a third
connection type to the LQ series -
four-wire audio with GPIO signalling in
a nine-way connector - which is ideal
for linking two-way

radios or audio and trigger signals
over a IP network or the internet.
The three new models are the
LQ-4WG2 (2 x 4-wire + GPIO), the LQR4WG8 (8 x 4-wire + GPIO) and LQR2W4-4WG4 (4 x 2-wire and 4 x 4-wire
+ GPIO), which are both 1RU form.
Clear-Com has enabled all LQ devices
to connect to the Eclipse HX matrix
via the IVC-32-HX IP card. This allows
industry-standard intercom systems
or two-way radios to be connected
to the Eclipse HX matrix over an IP
infrastructure or the Internet.
The Core Configuration Manager
software (CCM) for setting up and
linking the LQ devices has also been
updated with faster and more efficient
system edits.
