Channel Launches

TechStorm, a new digital
lifestyle channel all about

coolest
innovative
inventions and stories of
entrepreneurs who made
them happen.

Bolivian Space Agency
Deploys Newtec Dialog
A

hub which will enable the agency to
extend access to residential broadband
to at least 6,000 users.
The service will be delivered via

will give ABE flexibility and scalability
as it continues to introduce
broadband services to the
Bolivian population via its
world-class teleport."
The service will utilise
the DVB-S2X MDM2210 IP
Satellite Modem which is a
two-way, high throughput
modem that supports a wide

range of IP services such as Internet/
intranet access, VoIP and multicasting
services. Its ease of installation, highperformance modulation techniques
and integrated Wi-Fi enable network
operators to offer IP broadband
services in a cost-effective way over
Ku- and Ka-band networks.
The Newtec Dialog hub has been
installed at the Amachuma ground
station, located 4,000 metres above
sea level, which literally takes Newtec
technology to new heights.
The ground station accommodates
Tupac Katari 1's two 120MHz
transponders. ABE is now embarking
on commercial rollout of the service.
The project, which is part of the
government's National Broadband
Plan, will cater for the currently
unserved Bolivian population.

Norsat Products Address 5G Interference

As every installation is unique
depending on the antenna position
relative to the 5G source, Norsat can
also provide custom variants of these
products to meet special requirements.
* Solutions - Norsat offers
consulting services to provide
complete solutions for existing
networks experiencing 5G issues.
This new series of products is ideally

Norsat will be showcasing these
products at CommunicAsia 2019 in
Singapore.

order with first shipments scheduled

Distribution

ntelsat and Aldea Solutions have
entered into a peering relationship
to expand satellite and fibre video
contribution and distribution networks
for media customers globally.
Bill O'Hara, Intelsat's General
Manager, Media, stated: "At Intelsat,
our broadcasters' and programmers'
needs come first. By providing direct
access to Intelsat's premier satellite
distribution platforms through Aldea,
content programmers will have an
easier path to widen their viewership
and monetise their content."
As a means to provide easier access
for content programmers to Intelsat's
premier media distribution platforms,
Intelsat and Aldea are extending their
combined infrastructure and footprint.
Lionel Bentolila, Aldea CEO, added:

provide to media customers around
the world has been the principal driver
of our success. This new relationship
with
Intelsat
reinforces
our
commitment to excellence and extends
our reach, offering additional satellitebased options for our customers."
Through the partnership, Intelsat
will further expand the reach of its
IntelsatOne terrestrial network via
Aldea's international fibre network,
adding connectivity to media locations
in 35 cities, as well as connections to
premium content programmers.
In turn, Aldea will have access to
Intelsat's video neighbourhoods which
house approximately 5,400 channels
and reach 508 million households
worldwide.
