Telestream Demonstrates Intelligent
Media Processing, Secure Delivery &
Intuitive Video Analytics at IBC2019

t IBC2019, Telestream will
showcase
end-to-end
live
streaming solutions, strategic advances
in video encoding and transcoding
systems, and the latest developments
in video monitoring and analytics,
both on premise and in virtualised
environments.
It will provide the first showcase
of the new extended company since
Tektronix's video test, monitoring and
quality assurance solutions for the
broadcast and digital media markets
were integrated into Telestream.
Company CEO Scott Puopolo said:

of file-based media processing and
workflow orchestration along with live
video streaming for both production
and distribution applications, all
supported with advanced video
monitoring and analytics is a highly

With both live and file-based
applications in mind, a key focus
for Telestream in 2019 and
beyond is cloud transformation
and virtualisation. Vantage Cloud
Port, which leverages Telestream
Cloud services, allows seamless
cloud execution of Vantage
processing actions in combination
with on-prem deployments making
for an easy transition to the cloud.
Another

In its first European outing since its
commercial introduction at NAB 2019,
Telestream's OptiQ demonstrates
how users can monetise short term
opportunities in the live sports and
events market. OptiQ transforms
the new channel creation task from
a process that took weeks or even
months to one that takes just minutes

Society of Cable Telecommunications
Engineers) including the prestigious
SCTE 2019 Technological Innovation of
the Year award.
The VB330 RPHY also received the
award for Best Broadband Network
Transmission Solution.
The award was made at SCTE's
Annual Gala Awards Dinner at Hatfield
Old Palace in the UK on 29 June 2019
and was received by Gudny Aspaas,
on behalf of Bridge Technologies
Chairman Simen K. Frostad.
"This is a great honour for us,"
said Frostad. "Receiving an industry
award is always a thrill - but even
more so when the award is made by
an organisation that is as respected
as SCTE. SCTE was formed to raise the

taken. Remote PHY is an approach that
literally takes the PHY chip out of a box
and puts it at the end of an IP network
- putting the least amount of hardware
and software at the endpoint and
keeping the complexity centralised.
Remote PHY will allow CCAP devices to
be deployed in more creative manners
such as using digital fibre in the HFC
plant. For cable operators, this will
allow their network to have higher
performance with lower OpEx, lower
CapEx, and an evolutionary path for
FTTH.
