ChyronHego Names
Ariel Garcia CEO
USA: ChyronHego has named
Ariel Garcia as CEO. He joined
ChyronHego as a board member
in 2015, following a strategic
investment from Vector Capital,
and stepped into the business as
President of Broadcasting in 2018.
Commenting Garcia said: "I
am thrilled to step in as CEO
during this exciting growth stage
for ChyronHego. Our sports
intelligence and broadcasting
products are top-notch, and our
increasing focus and partnership
with our customers will prove
critical for future success."
Since 2014, Garcia has served as
operating partner and head of
value creation at Vector Capital.
Previously, he was Senior Principal
at The Boston Consulting Group.
Garcia holds an MBA from the
Wharton School of Business at
the University of Pennsylvania
and a degree in computer
engineering.

MultiDyne Appoints
Chief Operating Officer
GBR: MultiDyne Fiber Optic
Solutions has appointed industry
veteran Bob McAlpine as Chief
Operating Officer (COO).
This follows a successful year
of McAlpine working with
MultiDyne through broadcast
industry consultancy Black Pearl
Management Group LLC. The new
appointment marks McAlpine's
second stint with MultiDyne,
having served as the company's
VP of Global Sales and Business
Development in the late 2000s.
McAlpine has been instrumental to
MultiDyne's growth in his advisory
position over the past year,
playing a key role in the company's
recent acquisition of Torontobased Census Digital and helping
MultiDyne establish new presences
in the EMEA and APAC regions.
McAlpine will continue to drive
such strategic initiatives while
also strengthening the company's
infrastructure as a foundation for
further expansion.

NEP Group To Acquire
Aerial Video Systems

EP Group has signed
an agreement to
acquire
Burbank-based
Aerial Video Systems
(AVS) for an undisclosed
sum.
AVS's solutions will
complement and build
upon BSI's wireless AV
capabilities, adding their
innovative RF solutions in
HD, 1080p, HDR and 4K/
UHD wireless systems, turnkey live
and recorded aerial coverage, and
fibre optic connectivity to NEP's U.S.
Specialty Capture division.

AJA Presents New Solutions At IBC

JA Video Systems has announced
a number of new products
and updates designed to advance
broadcast, production, post and proAV
workflows at IBC.
Addressing the growing bandwidth
requirements for high quality content
creation and delivery, AJA showcased
the HDR Image Analyzer 12G which
brings 12G-SDI connectivity to AJA's
real-time HDR monitoring and analysis
platform, developed in partnership
with Colorfront.
Featuring 64x 12G-SDI inputs and
64x 12G-SDI outputs, AJA's KUMO
6464-12G will be available in autumn
2019 and is a new compact SDI router
that allows professionals to take
advantage of the scalability, security,
and increased bandwidth that 12G-SDI

provides.
Available in ten different models,
each with passive or active cooling
variants, AJA's Corvid 44 12G is an
8-lane PCIe 3.0 video and audio I/O
platform supporting 12G-SDI I/O.
Corvid 44 12G models include highdensity HD-BNC or full-sized BNC
connectors, with the HD-BNC models
available in low profile or full height
form factors. Corvid 44 12G developer
I/O models are now shipping.
The company also introduced the FSMini utility frame sync mini-converter
and three new openGear compatible
cards, including OG-FS-Mini, OG-ROI-

DVI and OG-ROI-HDMI.
Additionally, AJA previewed Desktop
Software updates for KONA, Io and
T-TAP, UltraHD support for IPR MiniConverter receivers, and FS4 frame
synchroniser enhancements.
