Laura Podolak Waddell
Joins Gravity Media
USA: Gravity Media has appointed
Laura Podolak Waddell as Director,
Strategic Partnership Management
for North America.
She joins the team to enhance
brand relationships with a focus
on an ongoing studio operations
project that Gravity Media is
overseeing for a major media and
technology brand. After almost a
decade of local news production
for radio stations in Colorado and
California, Podolak Waddell was
part of Pac-12 Networks' launch
team. The broadcasting experience
she gained during her time there
has led her to join Gravity Media
where she will bring teams across
the country closer together to
streamline production processes
and improve content output for
clients.
Her tenure at Pac-12 Networks
focused on relationship building,
enhancing communication across
content teams and implementing
production best practices.

Appoints Valentino
GBR: Gravity Media has appointed
Tony Valentino as its new Head of
RF and Speciality Cameras in the
UK. With over 30 years' experience
of working within the broadcast
industry, Valentino brings with
him a wealth of RF knowledge that
will perfectly complement Gravity
Media's existing expertise.
He will be responsible for
expanding the function, overseeing
the successful delivery of projects
and investigating new technologies
and solutions that can deliver
greater value to customers.
Previously he set up the UK division
of Broadcast Sports International,
winning major long-term contracts
with Sky Sports for F1 and BT Sport
for Premiership Rugby.
Working closely with Link
Research, Valentino helped to
develop a revolutionary groundbased Cellular Diversity ASI
System used in ITV's coverage of
the 2008 Boat Race.

Stingray Brings Bahrain
History Channel On Air

Information Affairs (MIA) has deployed
Pebble Beach Systems' Stingray
channel in a box solution for the launch
of its history channel.
A long-time user of Pebble Beach
Systems' Neptune automation system
for their main channels, MIA's single
channel fully redundant Stingray
system has now been on air for a
number of weeks.
Samir Isbaih, VP of Sales for Middle
East and APAC, said: "Stingray
seamlessly integrates into Bahrain
TV's existing technical infrastructure,
allowing the broadcaster to
expand its offering without
affecting the current workflow.

Stingray also gives them a platform to
test new technology on this channel
before migrating their existing
infrastructure on to their planned

Channels Broadcast and Automation
System' implementation platform."

NRJ Belgique Selects
BCE's StudioTalk

RJ Belgique recently commenced
video broadcasting its radio
shows with StudioTalk, the visual radio
solution from Broadcasting Center
Europe (BCE).
Following the multimedia
development of its activities,
NRJ Belgique decided to
upgrade its studio with a
visual radio solution for its
radio shows.
The radio station required a
solution to ensure automatic
camera production, manage
the studio branding, integrate
the branding of the station
in both the branding screens
of the studio and the final
