Proximus Pickx

BEL: Proximus, Belgium's largest
telco and multi-service provider,
has deployed 3SS's 3READY
Android TV solution for its recently
launched Proximus Pickx next
generation IPTV service based on
Android TV Operator Tier.
Europe's first Android P based TV
project, Proximus Pickx, had its
pilot launch in October 2019.
The
service
satisfies
the
expectations and requirements
of the broadest possible range of
subscribers with state-of-the-art
user features, tied together in
a customisable user experience
enabled by 3READY.

Sinclair Deploys
Triveni Digital
USA: Sinclair Broadcast Group
is optimising its service quality
assurance
operations
with
solutions from Triveni Digital.
Sinclair has purchased 30 of
Triveni Digital's StreamScope XM
MT ATSC 1.0 Analyser and ATSC 3.0
combo units, plus 10 StreamScope
XM Verifier software applications
to simplify its transition to
NextGen TV. Based on Triveni
Digital's unified, software-based
solutions that support both ATSC
1.0 and ATSC 3.0, Sinclair will be
able maintain QoS for its viewers
across both delivery platforms.

Bluefish444 Release
Updates Drivers
AUS: Bluefish444 has announced
its Windows SDK v6.3.0 and
Linux SDK v6.0.1 are available for
download.
A new version of the Bluefish
Driver/SDK supporting Epoch
and KRONOS video hardware is
available and features added
BVC MultiLink UHD support, new
conversion functions, and new
sample apps and documentation.
In addition, the first official
release of the Bluefish v6 Driver/
SDK package for Linux operating
systems is also available. The
release
delivers
improved
development tools and adds
support for KRONOS K8.

Net Insight Divests Sye
To Amazon

N

et Insight has divested Sye, its
consumer streaming business, to
Amazon.
The business has been divested for
approximately SEK 350 million in cash.
As announced on December 17, 2019,
Net Insight signed an agreement to
divest its Streaming Solution business
area (Sye).
The
Sye
technology
solves
fundamental issues for B2C streaming
distribution and Amazon has already
deployed Sye in some of its live
streaming services as a customer.
With the close of this transaction,
100% of the shares in the whollyowned Sye business subsidiary, which

holds all relevant IPRs, contracts and
about 30 employees and consultants
have been transferred to Amazon. The
estimated net profit of the transaction
will be some SEK 200 million in the
first quarter of 2020.
The divestment allows Net Insight
to increase focus and investments in
its core B2B Media Networks business
area and competencies gained while
developing and launching Sye. Net
InSight cited virtualised software and
cloud-based technology, which will
continue to benefit the company.
Among other things, the increased
focus and investments involve
accelerated efforts to drive growth

in attractive market segments like
Internet-based transport, remote/
distributed production and cloud
networking solutions.

producers,
distributors and consumers of content

technical resources or distribution

NMSU Utilises LTN Global Managed
Network Solutions

TN Global has entered into a
three-year agreement with New
Mexico State University (NMSU) to be
the school's primary IP transmission
provider.
NMSU has replaced its satellite
transmission
with
multipoint
distribution through LTN Managed
Network Solutions.
"We've been very pleased with our
move to LTN. Our audience
demands a high standard
in terms of quality and
reliability, and we can
say plain and simple - it
just works," said Adrian
Velarde, KRWG Public
Media's General Manager
at New Mexico State
University. "The process
to move to LTN was very
smooth, and LTN's support

was incredibly helpful during the
transition. They were always there
when we needed them."
Covering football, men's and
women's basketball, softball, and
baseball, NMSU's AggieVision and
Special Productions Unit produces
more than 40 athletics telecasts a
year.
After partnering with LTN and

phasing out its satellite uplink facility,
NMSU is utilising LTN's managed
network for reliable and cost-effective
transport of video content to five
different channels: ESPN, Fox Sports
Arizona, Altitude Sports, Comcast, and
KVIA.
Using the capacity of the internet,
LTN's managed IP network transmits
NMSU's live signals to all of its
broadcast partners with less than 200
milliseconds of latency and guaranteed
quality for an exceptional
viewing experience.
LTN provides backhaul
services
for
NMSU
throughout the year as it
covers its athletic events
and the university can
transmit to multiple points
more easily and at a lower
cost than with satellite.
