Sanches Named Kaltura
Media & Telecom Head
USA: Kaltura has appointed Nuno
Sanches to lead the company's
media and telecom business unit as
General Manager. Sanches brings
over 15 years in telecom, pay-TV
and media industries with broad
experience in leading product and
technology development.
Being a pay-TV innovator and
pioneer, he has led some of the
earliest and most successful
launches of advanced user
interfaces, live TV restart, TV
everywhere, network PVR and
Cloud TV across several pay-TV
operators in Europe. In his previous
position he created Vodafone
Group's TV Product & Development
organisation from the ground up
and led the global strategy and
product development of Vodafone
TV, a multi-national award-winning
Cloud TV service, powered by the
Kaltura TV Platform, now live
across seven countries.
Sanches will be based in
Kaltura's London office.

Utah Scientific
Promotes Schilberg
USA: Utah Scientific has appointed
John Schilberg to the position of
Director of Product Development
and Technical Marketing. In the
role, Schilberg's main focus will be
product development by working
with industry professionals, the
in-house engineering team, and
current and potential customers.
He will help in the design and
release of Utah Scientific products
and serve as the company's
technical spokesperson. In addition
to his product management
responsibilities, he will develop and
deliver engineering presentations,
consult on improvements to Utah
Scientific's web presence, and lead
other marketing efforts.

SCISYS Acquisition

ontreal-based
CGI
recently
completed
its
strategic
acquisition of SCISYS.
Predominantly based in the UK and
Germany, SCISYS will complement
CGI's strong capabilities and client
relationships in these countries.

CGI expects SCISYS Media Solutions
to be fully integrated within a few
months' time, with NAB 2020 being the
first major event under the CGI name.
The acquisition of SCISYS has
added more than 670 highly skilled
professionals to CGI.
