New Chief Executive

appointed
telecommunications executive Eva
Wimmers as its new CEO.
Wimmers has over 24 years
of experience as an executive
in
the
technology
and
telecommunications
industries,
most recently as President of
Huawei/HONOR Europe and Vice
President of HONOR Global.

Eva to lead NativeWaves as it
scales its revenues and expands
its
entrepreneurial
team,"
said board Chairman Pascal
Levensohn, who also represents
investor Dolby Family Ventures
on the NativeWaves board. "Eva's
clear vision and calm leadership
will be invaluable during the
unprecedented challenges and
opportunities created by the global
pandemic."
Prior to joining Huawei in 2016, she
held senior positions at companies
including T-Mobile and Deutsche
Telekom (DT). During her five years
at DT, she was the company's Chief
Procurement Officer, managing a
30 billion euro annual budget and
leading a team of 2,500 people in
50 countries.

Translation Studio
Trusts Dante Network

T

itrafilm Studio - located in St. Ouen,
France - is a dubbing, subtitle and
voiceover studio that relies on a Dante
Network for its media workflows.
Titrafilm
provides
language
translations and broadcasting material
for television platforms, film and other
video and audio projects.
While it used to be that only major
theatrical releases and TV broadcasts
would court demand for language
localisation, the rapid growth of
streaming services in the global
market means an increased reliance
on translating content to make it more
accessible for all viewers and listeners.
This growth is exciting for Titrafilm
Studio - the company provides 27 of
what it considers "basic languages" for
localisation. But it can manage many
more with the use of partners, making
it a provider for all types of projects from major theatrical or multi-lingual

platform releases to region-specific art
house productions. Currently, the team
tackles around 70 productions each
year.
The studio is preparing to build out
an additional 12 studios soon, and

plans to migrate an existing movie
studio into a second ATMOS capable
facility are underway
The addition of the studios will be so
seamless that no current workflows
will be interrupted.

least in the area of video timing,"

distribution process asynchronous
by removing timing information
from the underlying hardware layer.

video must be frame-synchronous at
