nforma Markets has announced
that ConnecTechAsia will be held
on a virtual platform.
This shift is "in response to the
dynamic situation of the COVID-19
pandemic, where travel and
physical restrictions are still in
effect globally".
ConnecTechAsia,
incorporating
BroadcastAsia,
CommunicAsia,
SatelliteAsia and co-located with
TechXLR8 Asia, will be a threeday virtual event from September 29
to October 1, which will thereafter
turn into a 24/7, 365 days interactive
marketplace.
Conference delegates can engage
in live keynote, Q&A and breakout
sessions while the virtual exhibition
floor will enable companies to

showcase their products to registered
attendees.

ConnecTechAsia will resume its live
event next year, from June 9 to 11,

Nick Matthews ACS Takes Top Accolades

Society (ACS) National Awards, Nick
Matthews ACS won the Milli and was
named Australian cinematographer of
the year for his work on Hotel Mumbai.
He also collected the Gold Tripod for
features budgeted above $2 million.

ES has revealed the results of its
first-ever TV market reception
survey in the Philippines.
Out of the 3,000 residential
households
interviewed
across
the Philippines, SES unveiled that
households who subscribed to
satellite TV ranked highest in terms of
satisfaction with their TV service.
A large majority of satellite TV
households were very satisfied with
their TV service (76%), in comparison
with cable TV (70%), digital terrestrial
(69%), analogue terrestrial (59%) and
IPTV (54%) respectively.

Satellite TV (17%) is also the secondmost popular mode of TV reception
in the Philippines, behind terrestrial
TV (66%) but ahead of cable TV (15%)
and IPTV (2%), according to the SES
Satellite Monitor report.

most dynamic and highly-penetrated
TV markets in Asia Pacific with over

TV penetration rate.

also known as the SES Satellite
Monitor, offers a comprehensive and
