Budweiser's
'Kings of the
Premier League'
Review Show

ky Media and Budweiser have
renewed
their
collaborative
Premier League review show Kings of
the Premier League on Sky Sports.

On the back of the show's resounding
success during the 2019/20 season,
Sky Sports presenter Adam Smith will
return to the set to host the 30-minute
show, which will air at 8pm on the last
Friday of every month on Sky Sports
Premier League.
Once again, Smith will be joined by a
raft of exciting guests including Jamie
Carragher and Nicole Holliday for the
show's first episode, where they will
use a combination of Sky Sports Power
Ranking stats, fan voting data (King
of the Match data from the official
Premier League app) and expert
pundit opinion to debate and select
the best 11 players to form the ultimate
fantasy team of the month.
Kings of the Premier League is a
multi-platform content partnership
transcending the world of social and
linear, bringing together the editorial
production expertise of Sky Sports
Football Department and Social Team
alongside Sky Media's Commercial
Production team to deliver a truly
immersive partnership aligned with
primetime Premier League football.
This season, Budweiser aims to
reconnect with this audience and bring
those fans even closer to their Premier
League heroes with the partnership.

Nevion Purchase Enhances
Sony IP/Cloud-based Solutions

ony Imaging Products & Solutions
is acquiring Nevion to further
enhance its portfolio, providing endto-end IP and cloud-based production
solutions for broadcasting and other
applications.
Sony, which has been a minority
shareholder in Nevion since July 2019,
is purchasing the remaining shares
in the company, and making it a
subsidiary.

deliver innovation that goes beyond

investment, we will take the scope
of IP-based remote production to
the next level as one of our highly
focused business fields," said Mikio

Nevion's acclaimed expertise, we will
deliver more integrated and optimal

Sony has been at the forefront of
IP-based production innovation for the
past decade.
Nevion is a leading provider of
virtualised media production solutions.
In recent years, there has been an
increasing demand in broadcasting
and other business areas for remote
production solutions and remote
integration (REMI).
REMI allows resources such as
equipment, facilities and even staff
to be shared across locations in realtime, resulting in greater efficiency
and effectiveness.
The spread of COVID-19 has
accelerated this trend, and the need

of combining on-premise facility
and cloud processing, enabling
remote work and resource sharing,
has become the basis of business
continuity planning for the broadcast
and production community. Since
June 2019, Sony has had a strategic
partnership with Nevion, and both
companies have been collaborating
to address those markets. This
investment will enable Sony to build a
much closer relationship with Nevion
and lead to the delivery of more
integrated solutions.

Teradek Launches Affordable Prism
4K HDR Encoders And Decoders

eradek's latest line of Prism 4K
HDR encoders and decoders
make it more affordable than ever
to upgrade IP video workflows to
the cutting-edge.

of Prism, we spent a lot of time
working with our customers to
produce a solution that would help
them transition to a 4K workflow in
a cost-conscious manner," said Nicol
Verheem, CEO of Teradek.

completely new encoding technology

customers are looking for from a next

Prism is the first of a brand new line
of codecs designed to revolutionise
professional IP video workflows.

The high density 2RU and 1RU
chassis' support up to 9 or 3 HEVC
blades, each capable of encoding
or decoding 10-bit, 4:2:2, 4K HDR
video.
The system is multicast-capable
and supports common protocols
such as MPEG-TS and RTMP(S), in
addition to SRT for secure, low latency
streaming.
For expanded functionality, Prism
can be connected to Core, Teradek's
IP video management and production
platform. With Core, users can
remotely monitor, configure, route,
transcode and record their IP video
streams securely in the cloud.
