SatADSL In Connectivity
Partnership With Telespazio
A

new path to accessing Brazil's
connectivity market has been laid
out for satellite service providers with
the announcement of a partnership
between SatADSL and Telespazio.
Telespazio Brazil will offer their
connectivity via SatADSL's Cloudservice Delivery Platform (C-SDP) and
the Yahsat3 satellite, providing 26
Ka-band spot beams supported by ST
Engineering technology. This enables
SatADSL to deploy their full range of
dynamic services across the country
and provide Telespazio Brazil with
access to additional markets in Latin
America.
SVP of Business Development at
SatADSL Guillermo Bosch said, " This is

up the Brazilian market and allows us

The
C-SDP
facilitates customer
connectivity
while
eliminating the high cost traditionally
associated with satellite infrastructure.
By virtue of this new partnership
between Telespazio and SatADSL,
dynamic and high-performance IP
access will be made more readily
available in Brazil, providing a
valuable utility during the ongoing
pandemic, where reliable connectivity
is becoming more and more essential.

The new partnership represents

SES Networks and Southern Cross Cables
Bolster Connectivity in Pacific Region

outhern Cross Cables Limited
(SCCL) will leverage SES Networks'
satellite-enabled connectivity services
to vastly improve communications
between Nukunonu of Tokelau,
Kiritimati Island of Kiribati and the rest
of the world as it upgrades the undersea
Southern Cross cable network, SES has
announced.
The Southern Cross cable network,
in use since 2000, is a key internet
gateway for the Pacific region. SCCL
is laying a new cable, Southern Cross
NEXT, to augment and ultimately
replace the existing Southern Cross
cable network. This is part of SCCL's
plan to provide enhanced network
resilience and connectivity services
to meet fast-growing market demand
for internet connectivity in the Pacific
region.

SES's O3b constellation of medium
earth orbit (MEO) satellites will be
used to connect remote stations on the
incoming Southern Cross NEXT cable
network during its commissioning
phase. The satellite services provided
will ensure that the undersea cable
network gets a connectivity boost right
away, even as work to upgrade the
existing Southern Cross systems and
implement Southern Cross NEXT are
taking place.  
SES Networks will provide a managed
O3b network service to the remote
stations, using a rapidly-deployed
satellite terminal that delivers fibrelike performance with a low latency of
less than 150ms round trip.

design

DFB (Distributed Feedback) laser
technology. With capability up to 6
GHz covering S- and C-Band, they
enable customers to future-proof
their systems with better performance
at a lower cost than competing
alternatives. The native C-Band
coverage also provides customers with
the optimal solution for 5G C-Band
interference.
The Optiva Platform enables longdistance fiber optic links over 100
km with 1/10th the size and weight
of coaxial cable. Fiber is much less
expensive than coaxial cable over any
reasonable distance and the ability to
keep the signal in the native satellite
frequency reduces signal errors caused
by up-and-down-conversion. Fiber also
provides greater immunity from EMI
(Electromagnetic Interference), hum,
and distortion of the signal.

Interface) design, 30 dB Tx and Rx
adjustable gain range, SmartGain
for enhanced AGC (Automatic Gain
Control) performance, peak optimizer
for quick and easy setup, and RF

increases transport capacity without
