with one foot in the past
Broadcast and IT operations and
engineering personnel
often bear
responsibility for maintaining and
operating legacy IT and broadcast
solutions, hybrid SDI over IP and native
IP solutions, sometimes during a single
live production.
They are dealing with both
centralized and de-centralized (i.e.
remote) production; diverse service
provider networks; and mixes of fixed
facilities, cloud, shared, and networked
elements. Combinations of these often
come into play during live, mission
critical, low latency, high value content
events, such as global sporting events.

Timing and synchronization are

of video audio and data flowing
through networks, and PTP is key to
ensuring senders and receivers are
all locked to the same time. Network

loading

cause
packets to be delayed across networks,
which can cause jitter or even packet
loss. Users need ways to determine
what is happening in these cases and
how to troubleshoot problems within
the networks.

automatically configured with
the content of interest by using
the " View in PRISM " selection
from Inspect 2110. This speed
