Greenland's
KNR chooses
nxtedition
roadcast microservices specialists
nxtedition has inked a five-year
deal with KNR (Kalaallit Nunaata
Radioa), the Greenlandic Broadcasting
Corporation, which has chosen to
maintain nxtedition's end-to-end
system as their primary broadcast
solution. KNR first installed nxtedition
as part of its new production
infrastructure in 2017 and relies on it
to deliver a futureproof workflow for
streamlining all their broadcast, web,
and social media production needs.

Caton delivers WICC for
Relevent Sports Group
aton Technology, a pioneer
in next-generation IP
network transport, provided
high performance, low latency
delivery of games in the
2021 Women's International
Champions Cup (WICC) to
enthusiastic audiences in China.
Caton used its CatonNet Video
Platform (CVP) to establish a
bespoke transmission path from the
event's world media hub in London to
Hong Kong and Sina Weibo.

The WICC, developed by Relevent
Sports Group (RSG), brought together
four
championship-winning
teams
from around the world: Olympique
Lyonnais, Houston Dash and FC
Barcelona joined hosts Portland
Thorns for the tournament in
Portland's Providence Park. Portland
Thorns beat Olympique Lyonnais 1-0 in
the final to be crowned the 2021 WICC
Champions.
Using nxtedition's story-centric
workflow, KNR journalists can run
their programs themselves, without
having to rely on a lot of technical
support. The system encompasses
pre-production, ingest, media
management, script writing, graphics,
prompting, live studio automation and
social media management. Everything
is elegantly controlled from within a
single user interface.

Since the initial installation,
KNR once again placed nxtedition
technology at the heart of its new
radio production system.
Ola Malmgren, CEO, nxtedition

audiences come to television for
and too often production workflows
put the story last. At nxtedition

allowing journalists to take control
of their stories, we are empowering
broadcasters to give audiences what
they really want - a fantastic viewing

The competition has a substantial
following in China, and RSG was keen
to offer fans a premium experience,
particularly for viewing over social
media. RSG also required high-level
monitoring and security to prevent
content piracy, and Caton provided the
solution.
The CatonNet Video Platform
provides
broadcast-grade
media
transmission services with points of
presence in more than 60 countries.
For the WICC it established a path from
BT Tower in London to Hong Kong and
the Sina Weibo platform for onward
distribution into mainland China.
The circuits used Caton Transport
Protocols (CTP) which provide
highly reliable transmission, using
proprietary algorithms and dynamic
forward error correction to assure
quality, performance and reliability.
CVP also provides near real-time
transcoding,
ensuring
bitrate
and format compatibility when
transmissions are fed to Sina Weibo.
CVP's inherent multi-layer security
architecture assured the utmost
security for piracy prevention.
Transmission tunnels are AES-265
encrypted, and streams and data are
individually sliced and encapsulated
with CTP's proprietary technologies.
" The WICC is already hugely popular,

to wider audiences and contribute
to the growth of women's football

Deltatre renews agreement
with Hero Indian Super League
eltatre, the global leader in fanfirst
experiences, has renewed its
agreement with the Hero Indian Super
League for the 2021/22 season - and
will provide its best-in-class broadcast
graphics solution to the league
throughout the competition.
The agreement builds on the
successful deployments initiated
between the parties during the
previous two seasons.

on
the
Deltatre
professional and diligent work
during the 2020/21 campaign,
during which time " normal "
operational
activities were
upended. Deltatre adjusted
to this challenge by switching
to a hybrid, in-venue/remote
production model. It installed
services in four locations
including three stadiums in Goa,
and in the operations center at the
Star Sports studios in Mumbai.
Deltatre's broadcast graphics
give
content owners the tools to deliver
cutting-edge on-screen visualizations.
This project is underpinned by Magma,
Deltatre's graphics suite, which
allows for fast and accurate graphics
operations, with simultaneous data
optimization. By partnering with
Deltatre, the Indian Super League
will benefit from Deltatre's trusted
industry reputation and decades of
expertise.

The game continues to expand in
India. This project will help fans to
enjoy the sport in a richer and more indepth
way, with the aim to accelerate
this growth.

are available in English, Malayalam,
and Bengali - including touchscreen
solutions for data-rich analysis.
