XenData Announces the X100,
an Active Archive that Scales to 100+ PB

enData, the provider of highly
scalable cutting-edge data
storage solutions, has announced
availability of its new X100 active
archive. It manages one or more
enterprise-class LTO or Optical Disc
Archive (ODA) libraries
that may
scale to hundreds of petabytes and is
available in a configuration based on
a Windows Server 2022 cluster with
no single point of failure. It supports
robotic
libraries
from HPE, IBM,
Oracle, Qualstar, Quantum, Sony and
Spectra Logic. The X100 is ideal for
creative video and other applications
with high volumes of large files.
The X100 is powered by XenData
Archive Series
software which is
trusted by over 1,500 organizations in
over 90 countries, including many of
the world's largest media companies.
The archive system includes
a
fully redundant RAID from Infortrend
which was
chosen
archive and is
for
its
high
performance. The RAID is used as
a cache for all
files written to the

capacity up to 280 TB.
The X100 archive strongly

frame accurate timecodebased

file restores for
video archives.

Multiple X100 systems may be
synchronized using XenData's MultiSite
Sync service which links multiple
archives
in different
locations,
creating a single global file system
accessible from anywhere.
