W
hen it
comes
to
video
teleprompter and PTZ camera together
can make a perfect combination.
Pairing these two together can make
a significant difference in the quality
of your final product.
Let's
consider the impact
COVID19 pandemic
the

broadcasting industry when it hit.
Studios closed. News anchors were
broadcasting from home. Corporate
CEOs were giving presentations from
their living rooms. A far cry from
what we were all used to. But as the
old English proverb says, " Necessity
is the mother of invention. " This is
where PTZ cameras and video over IP
had a chance to " strut their stuff " , so
to speak.
News still needed to be presented
to the world. CEO's
needed
to
communicate with their workforce.
But with one caveat... no camera
operators were able to be present in
a lot of cases to control spread, and
neither were other crew including
teleprompter operators. Enter the PTZ
camera with IP technology and NDIenabled
teleprompter monitors. Not
only could you connect the camera to
the internet for someone else to see,
but you could control them too!
But what about prompters
that
could be paired with those cameras?
Telescript had already developed a
teleprompting
production, having a that
hardware
specifically
PTZ cameras that
integrates
system
with
utilizes a 16x9
widescreen monitor to allow the PTZ
to actually move behind the glass
with a maximum range of motion, but
how do you easily get a video over IP
feed to those screens?
This is where the folks at Telescript
jumped at the chance to bring to
market something that was needed...
a monitor with a built-in interface
that accepted video over ethernet
that could be received over public
internet. Not only would this provide
a solution to larger broadcasters,
but also a solution to smaller owneroperators
that needed a more simple
way to send their prompter signal to
a remote monitor.
After about a year of development,
and the help of the innovators at NDI,
Telescript was able to offer for the
first time ever, an easy-to-use, costeffective
NDI teleprompter monitor
that
is
accessible to all
users.

Prompting system, PTZ cameras and
prompters, particularly in remote
production situations, are a perfect
match.
PTZ cameras are now widely used
throughout the industry. From live
events
to webinars, and video
conferencing because it can provide
a high-quality image to the audience.

same features as the larger PTZ
system they offer, but on a smaller
scale. The system comes with a
15 " NDI high bright display and all
the hardware you need to mount
your smaller PTZ camera. Smaller
cameras such as the BirdDog line of
PTZ cameras are what this system
is designed for. And with its small
footprint, adding a teleprompter to
small studios using PTZ cameras is
now easier than ever before.
