Today, Just Having a
Solution Isn't Enough

ou need more. More support.
More willingness to go the extra
distance and to dedicate the resources
to make sure that your project is
successful.
The recipe for success is still as
simple as it has always been. It just
takes a great idea and a great team to
get results. When selecting a partner
for new ideas, it is not enough just to
ask "Do you have the product?", but
rather "Are you up for the challenge?
Are you creative enough?" At Aveco,
we can say "Yes!"
Going Further
Here's an example: Our work with
ETV Bharat in India - a finalists in
the IBC Innovation Awards "Content
Everywhere" category. This is for
Aveco's automated news production
and playout solution for 24 studios and
24 full time news channels for mobile
phone-and-tablet live and on-demand
viewership. There has never been
a mobile news deployment at such
a massive scale as this ETV Bharat
project.
Another example of where we
go further was our work with ARD.
The ARD is the number one, most
prestigious TV channel in Germany.
Their requirement list was long and
full of new ideas, new concepts and
new workflows. Triple redundancy,

post-processing, subtitling workflows,

This is an ideal place to be for our
automation solutions that orchestrate
all technologies and present the users

this IBC we are showing a hybrid onsite
and in the cloud playout solution.

few. They knew Aveco would always
take the extra steps, and we did.
We were coming up with ideas, sat
with the customer, fine-tuned every
workflow detail, customised the GUI for
each workflow step and assisted with
testing. Now, the ARD has a solution
that meets their current requirements
and is ready to accommodate any
changes ARD will need to make in the
future, as the media business evolves.
While Aveco has had a great number
of firsts in the industry - such as the
first master control automation with
integrated MAM, there are two things
that you may not be aware of:
First, Aveco has the industry's only
master control system running on a
100% virus-free/worm-free operating
system (QNX), compared to Windowsbased systems with numerous
malware attacks each month. Just that
point alone, gives our users a higher

sense of security. Second, we have
the only master control system that is
client-server based, with simultaneous
software client use in Windows, Macs
and Linux - familiar GUIs for users, on
a solidly safe software operation core.
What's Next?
As it has been for many years now,
doing more with less is still the mantra
of many media companies. But now
the tools exist to make that happen.
Yes, automation has come a long way,
but now we see the benefits of IP and
the cloud.
At Aveco, we strongly believe that
future products and services will
not be less expensive than they are
today, they'll just offer to do things
in a different, but not necessarily
better way. To utilise those tools in
an optimum way the hybrid solutions

Strong Media Workflows
We concentrate on strong media
workflows, by improving utilisation
of technical resources and by
maximising automation of processes.
This significantly reduces CAPEX
as well as OPEX, while increasing
revenues by introducing new services
to the viewers and business partners/
advertisers/sponsors.
As an example, there's our Ad
Juggler offering.
Ad Juggler helps broadcasters
execute play-level sponsorship during
live sport events, implementing a
standing order from traffic, posting
to the as-run log, and reconciling
to traffic-and-billing. By simply
using a hot key, ads can be placed at
important moments such as goals,
wickets, or touchdowns. There can
be multiple categories of ads and
sponsorship, such as videos or
graphics. This creates new avails opportunities for additional revenue
for you.
