T

he broadcast industry has
seen considerable maturity in
its transition to IP during the last
year and the implementation of
technology is happening faster than
ever.
With new signal standards
being introduced to further enhance
the flow of content, facilities will
continue to invest in IP technologies.
Wohler is continually developing
its monitoring and measurement
products to meet the industry's
current,
evolutionary
and
regulatory
requirements.
Wohler's iAM series has gained
extensive usage in IP facilities
for monitoring IP signals, such as
SMPTE-2022 to SMPTE-2110, Dante,
Ravenna, AES67, along with traditional
baseband signals.
As facilities
continue to transition from baseband
to IP signal formats, Wohler recognises
the
importance
of
delivering
comprehensive monitoring solutions;
the iAM product range meets that
need by supporting both existing and
new formats within a single platform.
The iAM series supports baseband
signals, analog, AES3, 3G/HD/SDSDI and MADI, while simultaneously
offering options for VoIP formats
(SMPTE 2110, SMPTE 2022 and
MPEG2 TS), plus AoIP formats
(Dante, Ravenna, AES67). All iAM

innovation

significant development in 2019 of
the iAM range to provide monitoring
solutions for 12G SDI / 4K signal
monitoring, along with SMPTE 2022
/ SMPTE 2110. An important new
option from Wohler is their unique
offering of Dolby ATMOS monitoring
integration in a 2RU rack mount.
Wohler works closely with its
client base to confirm not only the
mix of signals required, but also
their optimal presentation to the
user. Each product in the iAM range
features an on-board web-GUI for
monitoring and configuring the
units remotely. This allows the user
to interact with other equipment

in the facility via integration or
the use of APIs. In addition, the
iAM-Audio-1 &2, iAM-Video-2 and
iAM-12G SDI feature touchscreen
operation via the front panel.

monitoring

iAM-MIX - The straightforward
control surface offers muting and
mixing for a variety of audio sources
and provides an elegantly simple, fullyfeatured, pre-hear and mixer panel
for 8 or 16 channel monitoring with
push to mute / unmute, turn to adjust
volume. Primarily designed for use in
pre-listen and OB vehicle applications.
iAM-AUDIO
Benefits

integration with third party control

iAM-VIDEO-2 adds video monitoring capability

interfaces, such as Lawo's VSM,
Axon's Cerebrum, Evertz's VUE or EVS'
S-CORE Master. Shallow depth design
with a choice of 1RU or 2RU units.
iAM-VIDEO-2
Adds
video
monitoring
capability
designed
for easy operability, yet providing
powerful and intuitive Video / Audio
monitoring of multiple signal types
within a compact form factor. It is
equipped with high quality video and
metering of a variety of input options,
including 3G/HD/SD-SDI, Analogue,
AES3, Dolby and MADI, with further
options for IP formats, including
MPEG2TS, SMPTE 2022, SMPTE 2110,
Ravenna/ AES67 and Dante. It also
provides for a growing range of
additional I/O via the SFP interface.
iAM-12G-SDI - The latest addition
to the iAM Series features monitoring
for 16 audio channels, 12G video
monitoring and accepts 2 x 12G/3G/
HD/SD-SDI signals over BNC. 4 SFP
cages allow for a variety of additional
monitoring options, including 2110,
2022-6, as well as additional SDI inputs
in a variety of combinations. Our
Dolby® ATMOS option allows decoding
of Dolby Atmos content on either SDI
via BNC or on AES via HD-15, along with
the familiar Dolby D, D+, E content.
