#3 GET ACCOUNTABILITY
When it comes to accountability, the third thing to
look for in reconditioning management software is
the ability to require certain repairs be performed. If
they aren't completed, the system should document
a detailed reason as a result. According to Tim Whalen,
Service Manager for Voss Chevrolet, " There were
a couple times where a customer might find an issue
with their recent used vehicle purchase, and I'd go
back and forth trying to figure out who didn't catch
it during inspection or missed it when the work was
being performed, " said Whalen. " In reality, most of the
time it came down to work being rejected by the sales
department. "
#4 GET FASTER AND MORE EFFICIENT
The ability to attach photos of the vehicle during the
inspection process is an added benefit that saves
time and enhances the level of transparency back to
the sales manager. This is the fourth important factor
when determining which reconditioning management
software to choose: speed and efficiency.

#5 GET CONNECTED
The fifth and final thing to look for is the consolidation
of multiple systems. When you use one system for estimates,
one for dispatching, another for production
management and tack on text, emails and calls for internal
communication, it is often counterproductive to
what you are ultimately trying to accomplish. A single
driving force behind the reconditioning process that
will keep tabs on what is going on and alert you to
issues will make all the difference in trimming days off
your cycle time.
