employees from other markets. Regardless, dealerships
need to develop and execute an ongoing recruiting
strategy. This is not just for when they feel like they
need to hire someone.
Challenges are opportunities in disguise. While the
initiatives I have highlighted above might not be the
only challenges your dealership is dealing with, putting
a spotlight on these areas will go a long way toward
ensuring a successful year. Like most retail businesses,
dealerships need revenue to survive. Merchandising all
your profit centers on your website, selling out of the
service lane, attracting talented employees, and providing
service customers with financing options can all
help to achieve making 2022 the Year of the Service
Department.
