Tasked with the responsibility of hiring teachers for a population of low-income students with
limited resources and low academic performance, Rudy Campoya faced a big challenge when the
stakes were high. He developed a competitive compensation plan in order to attract high-quality
teachers, making a profound impact on the Socorro Independent School District and the lives
of its students. As a result of his efforts, academic performance has increased and students rate
Campoya's hires as the highest quality teachers in the " WIN Academy " program.

Paycor
When an employee engagement survey revealed that only 50 percent of employees were satisfi ed
with Paycor's performance management system, Karen Crone knew she had to act. In 2017, she
guided her organization from a traditional performance review model to a culture of ongoing
feedback and coaching where employees receive progress reports in regular " Connect Sessions. "
These " Connect " conversations also present employees with ample learning opportunities, with
80 percent of existing Paycor associates and 100 percent of new hires receiving training in person,
online, or through web demos.

Veritas Technologies, LLC
Faced with serious issues in employee engagement and company culture and encountering
resistance at every move, David Dart nevertheless persisted in developing, implementing, and
managing several key initiatives. In the quest to defi ne and embed company values into his
company's organizational culture, Dart's team trained 300 culture ambassadors and 500 culture
leaders to drive purpose and engagement. His outsourcing of the talent acquisition function
and establishment of a leadership competency model also created signifi cant value for Veritas
Technologies, reducing cost per hire by 32 percent and time to fi ll by 15 percent.
